Capello: 'Juve still the best'
Russia manager Fabio Capello believes Juventus will win a third consecutive Scudetto, plus commented on Mario Balotelli and Edinson Cavani.
The former Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid and England Coach spoke to Sky Sport Italia today.
“I hope to go to the World Cup with Russia. We’re doing well in qualifying, even if there are still important games to be played.
“Italy look to be in good shape and did well in the Confederations Cup, especially in terms of the quality of their football.”
Capello was asked to cast his eye over the current Serie A scene going into the 2013-14 season.
“Juventus made a great buy with Carlos Tevez, because now they will be more competitive in Europe. In Italy there will be no problems confirming their Scudetto.
“Milan are a young side and can surprise, but I don’t see them being as strong as Juventus. The younger players have understood what Massimiliano Allegri wants, but they remain a step behind Juve.
“Balotelli? It is obvious he’s a good player, but at times that is not enough.”
Napoli could weaken by selling Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain for €63m.
“Faced with certain sums of money, sales become inevitable,” mused Capello.
“It’s also important to take into account that the player wouldn’t be happy to stay and Napoli might not have the same opportunity to make this sale again.”
