Just borrowed PES 2011 from a friend to see how the game is as a whole.. It's alright but FIFA is still the complete package.. I unlocked the classic Brazil squad only to see made up player names :facepalm:

, Pele is known as 'Palm'.. You can change the player names manually but it's not the same

Lack of licensing really hurts PES.. Online head to head is pretty weak.. The UCL is GOAT though

I'll probably just get FIFA and wait for the price of PES 2013 to drop or buy it used.. I know 2013 will be better than 2011 but I don't seeing it being THAT MUCH better as a whole, I may be wrong though

I believe one of the posters mentioned it to me before. I didn't think it was possible. I haven't tried it myself, but hopefully when Pes 2013 comes out, I'll try installing it.

I think the 13 is not that much of an upgrade really. Sure it's still fun , however , it doesn't really force you to try new the new stuff. If you do , it's easy to spot the differencies and improvements compared to 12 , however , one could argue just how much of a deal that is .. i say not that much

Good things are :

Gks are 100% better than previous versions ,
through balls can be made to perfection if you play passing on maual (0 or 1/4) and as for defending and tactics , though this goes for the best players only , can be a real joy to watch friends getting frustrated from the combined pressing and well organised defending , while changing tactics accordingly or executing offside traps

Bad things are graphics , setting is copy paste , basicaly speaking the game is a copy paste , except some really important changes in the gameplay.

As for the ML , well , some already love it , some others hate it so far. These stuff with the boot boosting and buying stats with GP , can either make or break it for you. Truth is , it lacks some balance , you can take that horrible Master league team to begin with and with a bit of luck , make it a really great team in just 3 years time.

On Superstar , with Bordeaux i have already won the Coupe de France while in the 2nd category and i have players like Tello , Schurle , Barcelona's Roberto , Kjaer and Hummels , competing for the league in my first year in the top flight .

Add the boots that increase stats and the rest you can buy and it becomes unbalanced. I only buy stats for upgrading condition , just to have a better challenge.

Overall , i would give it a 7.5 out of 10 , just for the fun one can have , though often that fun seems similar Pes 12 fun .
