Official: Bayern Munchen sign Mitchell Weiser
Bayern's squad for the 2012/13 campaign continued to take shape on Friday with the arrival of Germany youth starlet Mitchell Weiser from FC Köln. The 18-year-old has signed a professional contract binding him to FCB until 2015, and has been assigned the squad number 23.
“We're delighted that our first-team squad now includes two of the most talented junior players in Germany, Mitchell Weiser and Emre Can," commented director of sport Christian Nerlinger. Weiser said he was excited about the opportunity in Munich: “As a junior player, if you have the chance to become a pro with FC Bayern, you have to step up to the challenge. This is a huge chance for me."
Versatile midfielder Weiser joined the Köln youth section in 2005 and was a member of the German U–17 championship winning side in 2010/11. The son of former Bundesliga player Patrick Weiser made his Bundesliga debut in February 2012 as a 75th minute substitute for the men from Cologne in a 2–0 derby defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. Last year, Weiser junior was a member of the Germany team which finished third at the U–17 World Cup.

Bild reports that He sign until 2015 and suggest that he will train with first squad and play for reserves.
According to Bayern's official site, he has been given the number 23, which suggests that he is earmarked for the first team rather than for the reserves.
