Wow Monchengladbach are a real selling club aren't they? Reminds me of Udinese except that Udinese financially are far less fortunate.
Very disappointing.

Re: Former Player: Dante
M'gladbach are after another Brazilian defender from the same club where Dante came from (I'm a bit in a hurry or I could look it up properly), so I guess they might be fine. They are also after Granit Xhaka.Arquitecto wrote:Wow Monchengladbach are a real selling club aren't they? Reminds me of Udinese except that Udinese financially are far less fortunate.

Re: Former Player: Dante
They had no choice but to sell him, they tried their best to keep him, but he wanted to join Bayern by all means possible.
By the way, I think we signed him for less than £4m and Shaqiri less than £10, talking about buying reasonably.
I just wish we can loan Sahin with an option to buy, then I hope our bid for Juan Vargas with Fiorentina option to loan Contento for 1 year is accepted, then ontop of that Dortmund confirmed Lewandowski is out of reach, so I hope we can land Cardozo.
We're still expecting 3 more players.

Re: Former Player: Dante
Cardozo can learn a lot if he arrives, I think Madrid will get rid Sahin next season and the best club for him is Bayern..
Re: Former Player: Dante
Good signing, but saw it miles away. There was only ever going to be one club for him to go to.
What does this mean for Bayern's current CBs though? Breno's gone I assume, but what about van Buyten?

Van Buyten is 34years old plus he's injury prone. I think Dante is good enough to play first team football and replace Badstuber, but many people including me hold Badstuber in high ranking and most Germans think he's better than Boateng although he's not.
Van Buyten is definitely a back-up player now, Dante can be a rotational player.
RB: Rafinha/Lahm
CB: Boateng/Badstuber/Dante/DVB
LB: Alaba/Vargas.
Contento is going out on loan to Fiorentina for 2 seasons, as part of Vargas deal. I think this is the next Bayern board wants to take, then after that there will be a meeting with the coach to decide which striker he wants, and to decide if he still wants another midfielder similar to Vidal..

forget it lol, there is no indication from the club that he is leaving, if anything, he will properly get his shot next year after a good preseason. And even if he was to leave, he would return home, not to Bayern lol.
Cardozo just never convinced me, i see him as a bottler, the kind of CF that miss chances in big games.

We bought him for ~5 Mil. € ...what a transfer
I guess he will play alongside Badstuber, and Boateng probably gets benched

Boateng is too talented and fast to be benched, I rather bench Badstuber.

Badstuber is a lot more solid this season, though i agree that Boateng has a lot more potential, but he doesn't show that, so it will be like i said i think

Re: Former Player: Dante
Boateng is comparatively error-prone and lacks Badstuber's game-opening abilities, so I think it is more likely to see Dante and Boateng fight it out for the spot next to Badstuber.Idrisozet wrote:Boateng is too talented and fast to be benched, I rather bench Badstuber.

That's your opinion, Boateng made no error yesterday, can't remember when last he made an error unlike Badstuber how he used to make so many errors and you keep saying he makes error just to make Badstuber better.
I thought you said...oh! Badstuber is calmer bla bla bla, then how come he's suspended and Boateng isn't....?
To me Boateng has more potentials and has show it on a higher level than Badstuber this season, he can also play anywhere in defence.
Re: Former Player: Dante
Badstuber was skinned 4 times yesterday. He was lucky, Benz, Kaka and Di maria didn't capitalize. Boateng had one blunder in all game. I'm not too impressed.rwo power wrote:Boateng is comparatively error-prone and lacks Badstuber's game-opening abilities, so I think it is more likely to see Dante and Boateng fight it out for the spot next to Badstuber.Idrisozet wrote:Boateng is too talented and fast to be benched, I rather bench Badstuber.
Also, Boateng was the one with clean tackles, along with Lahm. BAD-stuber didn't even attempt them, guess why...
On topic, if they get a Gomez backup as well their squad would be complete. Strongest Bayern in Cl for years?

Badstuber had more problem containing Benzema in both matches.
C.Ronaldo's goal was Lahm's fault and an offside.
Oezil goal in first leg, same thing, he was nowhere to be found. (dont give that set piece lame excuse)
Alaba penalty, Badstuber was nowhere in left side of CB..
I am fed up of people using prejudice to decide that Badstuber is as good as Boateng.
Can't remember if Badstuber even made one tackle, but Boateng is always good at tackling even last ditch tackling
