Re: Transfer rumor thread
Somehow I find that a bit stupid. Then they should better have kept Klose instead of letting him go to Lazio.

Re: Transfer rumor thread
The only thing against Drogba is his age and wages. If he doesn't ask for much money I would not mind him, either.
I think Klose wanted to experience football outside Germany, because I don't understand how he would have turned down Dortmund or other Germany clubs looking for strikers.

Re: Transfer rumor thread
Actually, Dortmund wouldn't have been able to meet Klose's wage demands, I'm sure. Dortmund isn't the richest club and they are still working on getting rid of their debts. And IIRC, Kloppo said something along the line that Klose wouldn't have fit into his squad, the way he envisions it.

Re: Transfer rumor thread
Damn, IMO, he would have fit right on.
Klose fits into every system
But I guess Klopp Knows Best.

Re: Transfer rumor thread
Drogba would be a great addition to any club.
But personally, I'm against..
First of all.. we have Petersen, Gomez, and Olic.
I prefer Olic extention that wasting money on Drogba, and he's not going to be better than Olic.. especially his fighting spirit as a new comer..
Then, If we are going to have one more Forward.. then Promote Dale Jennings.. the kid is a wonder boy.. why did we signed him at first..

Re: Transfer rumor thread
I'd rather sign Hoewedes or Hummels. But I do not think Hummels will join Bayern especially if we also get Goetze

Re: Transfer rumor thread
What we need are basically depth signings. We can't improve our starting 11 much apart from maybe a more solid CB, but the Boatstuber combination has been great and these guys are still very young. Sure, it would look better having Hoewedes or Hummels, but it's gonna be hard prying them from their clubs.
What we need: 1 backup RB. I consider Rafinha our first choice RB, but we know Heynckes loves playing Boateng here because of his speed and defensive abilities, yet in big games we play Boateng in the middle because he's our best CB. Yes, Boateng covers both areas, but an injury to him means 1 less CB that we badly need and no right back at all.
Another CB would be great. Van Buyten has not been bad, but he's nearly 34 now and it's time to start looking ahead. Either a good experienced CB or one of said rising stars.
Backup striker. Maybe a backup winger.
That's it.

Re: Transfer rumor thread
I think Robben will retire soon! We cannot count on him. We need a weltklasse winger to replace him. I was thinkin' bout Hazard but he didnt impress me vs Germany

Re: Transfer rumor thread
Bayern really need to consider a replacement for Robben. Another winger I guess maybe Nani or something..
Re: Transfer rumor thread
Nani? NO THANKS!
Reus, Hazard or Götze are the only 3 names that I accept as a replacement for Robben.

For some reasons I dont rate Hazard highly and Gotze is far too expensive, I dont think we can afford him.
remember Dortmund turn Down Arsenal 45million bid.
Re: Transfer rumor thread
I guess everyone forgot about Usami. I wouldn't mind another young prospect. Alaba is also being played there by Henyckes, but that's not his strength, IMO. He should be played in the middle.

Re: Transfer rumor thread
One thing I like about Alaba is that his passing are fast and accurate, I can imagine a midfield of 30 years old Schweini, and a more matured Kroos and Alaba.
Now thats what you call a passing team.

Re: Transfer rumor thread
Exactly. At Hoffenheim he was doing great in a CM role, which is his natural role, anyways.
I see him as the natural successor to Schweini. Although they sure can play together.

Would you bench Kroos for Gotze....?
If we sell Robben we will not find any player that will be able to match his skills, but they might just compensate that with fitness...
My point is even if we sell Robben maybe his true replacement will be Kroos, meaning Muller have to permanently play as a winger...
Re: Transfer rumor thread
That is good but we still need a replacement winger. Who is gunna replace Mueller if he's out? Usami/Alaba? I prefer Kroos at ACM though.

Re: Transfer rumor thread
I hope that Usami can be groomed into a proper winger. He showed quite some promise before season, but he needs to train more to get properly used to the BL requirements.

Usami is too weak to play in Bayern first team, I mean weak in the sense of physical strength but he definitely have the skills.
The ideal now is that his being work on, he needs to add some muscles and strength.
Re: Transfer rumor thread
Usami is 19 years old. Give him time to build physique. He's not short or anything at 178 cm.
He can become a great player, just give him time. He was awesome in the preseason.

I think he needs to eat more. Especially wheat and dairy and not rice/noodles like in Japan
