This is a great team..
But i would put Buffon ahead of Handanovic..I've seen Handanovic make a few blatant errors.

Basta's season > Lichsteiner season's
Di Natale for Giovinco , the rest was spot on

His 9 goals & 11 assists speak louder than Lavezzi's 9 goals & 7 assists!

You missed the point. You were the one saying Bonucci deserves to be there because you had the best defense, i was using your own logic, ergo the exclusion of Zlatan and the entirety of our attack is bordering on delusional.. FGS

If you read up you'll see I think Penimovic should be there. And once again where have I said Bonucci DESERVES to be there? I can understand him being there, I can also understand TS being there but it's not my fault he isn't (if it's real), I just think its a disgrace our defender's have poured their hearts out on the pitch and people think its injustice that TS isn't there based on purely merit that he's a WC defender. Hardwork can overshadow skill sometimes and I guess it's paid off for Bon this time.Rossoneri Ninja wrote:Cassius_Case wrote:Oh shit, you guys scored the most goals? Lol. The only debatable points are Ibra(I included him) and TS. TS is obviously, in general, is better than Bonucci. But TS didnt really have an outstanding season himself, so the case for Bonucci is there as well.
After that, the team stays as is for good reason.

No one denied that Barzagli and Chiello , maybe even Lichsteiner deserves to be there but no ways can someone justify Bonuci's inclusion over T.S, then claim it was due to the hardwork he put in , and similarly leave out the best forward in the League, it is painstakingly obvious that whoever made this is baised, and very much so..
Its called Serie A team of the season, why you having such a hard time admitting its biased ?

What makes Bonucci's case is his end of the year form. I hated him first half of the season, but he has matured and is really looking like the player we saw in him when we purchased him. His potential is turing into talent, and I hope he continues down this path.

Ah IF you are here, we can talk now.
T.S was outstanding my friend, his compatriots in defence weren't always consistent, without T.S Milan conceded more than a goal per game average in the last couple of games.
On the individual level T.S was much better than Bonucci in almost every regard; discipline , leadership, ability and consistency.

Re: Serie A Team of the season 2011-2012
There is no argument with this: TS is better than Bonucci
The only possible arguments that can be made for Bonucci are: he was part of the best defense in Europe(save maybe Porto with only 19 goals conceded if im not mistaken) and also his end of the season form.
First half of the season all of us Juventini wanted Bonucci's head because he did indeed cost us a few points, but second half of the season he has hardly put a foot wrong.
It's a tough call, because for sure TS is the better defender, but who had the better season? I dunno

Re: Serie A Team of the season 2011-2012
Ok why all the fuss, it's not like Juve fans made that selection of Bonucci ahead of TS.
It's not like Thiago Silva had his best season either, but still he was way, waaaaay better than Bonucci.
Having Thiago Silva in defense is an assurance, meanwhile having Bonucci in your defense is not something good. You have always to worry if he will have a mind fart and screw everything up, although he's minimized that recently, but no way was he better than Thiago Silva.
About midfield. I don't know why some are calling for Boateng. He was most of the time out injured, and he never played CM. He's much more like an attacker. He plays behind two strikers, and the difference between CM and AM is big.
Marchisio, Vidal, and Pirlo are unquestionable. Probably the most consistent midfield in Europe this season. I am not saying they are the bests in europe, but there was simply no one midfield unit better than them.
NOTICE. I am not talking about individuals, but about midfields as units.
When Xavi,Busquets,Iniesta are fit and playing most of the season, who in the world can break that. Hope you get that point.
Lichsteiner. Wasnt world-class, but very very useful to Juventus, and luckily for him no other RB in Serie A had his continuity. I believe if Maggio was fit all season like Lichtsteiner was, he'd have had that spot on his pocket no doubt.
As for attack. Not including Ibrahimovic is probably one of the stupidest things. The fact Milan didnt win the title doesnt make him a bad player. Ibra had an amazing season he MUST be there, and probably was one of the bests in the world this season, too.
My formation would look like this.

If I'm not mistaken,Juve won the league by 4 points right? If they had this god like defense, and god like midfield, then I'm pretty sure that they should've won the league by a far bigger margin.

So because our defense is so good, we should have won by a bigger margin?
What did you want our defense to do, lose less games?!?!

@ IF
Its a no brainer for me T.S has been better in both half's of the Season than Bonucci, even more so in the first half. But i understand the point you were trying to make.
My only complaints were Zlatan and T.S obvious exclusions, the midfield choice of Pirlo and Vidal was automatic, whilst i think Nocerino was in with a shout, but i can live with Marchiso being the final midfielder.

Re: Serie A Team of the season 2011-2012
Juve would of SMASHED milan to peices if they had a half decent striker who could finish.
There, i said it. Its soooo true and ANYONE who saw juve play this year will agree. The Defense and Midfield i couldnt ask for any better but upfront we lacked firepower worse than a midtable team. If we had a half decent striker the Scudetto would of been over sooner so stop your whining. Pissing me off now.

Re: Serie A Team of the season 2011-2012
Im sick of it though, Juve this Juve that.
Bloody hell, it irritates me, the amount of excuses and digs they'll spew out to take away juve's glory is unreal.
Put any striker that can finish into Juve last season and pirlo would have godlike number of assists, aswell as vucinic and Marchisio.
And maybe where you come from Dick is really offensive but its not really so bad round my part, the eqiviellent of calling someone an idiot or something, but im not bothered tbh, ban me if someone likes.
The only reason im on 25% anyway is because i made a new account, it got banned due to multi account, i explained i wanted this new account n not my old one but for some strange reason have only had 25% from the beginning of this.

Re: Serie A Team of the season 2011-2012
Buffon, Chiellini, Barzagli, Pirlo and Vidal are all incontestable, whilst Marchisio and Lichsteiner are deserving of their spots but there are also other players who could have been placed there and deserved the honour. it's a close call and if it goes either way I don't think it's that big a deal given that season reviews are always going to be unfair to someone.
Even without his goals Ibrahimovic would deserve his place, he's carried the burden of a being not only goal scorer but a playmaker with his usual aplomb whilst Di Natale just became the first player since Gabriel Batistuta to score over 20 goals in Serie A in three consecutive seasons, whilst leading his side to a Champions League place. Leaving out these two is criminal considering their achievements, no matter who their competition is.

Lol i use much more foul language in person than i do here- it's self control.
And half the shite ppl say on this forum irritates me.
Plus, you dont think others are irritated by Juventini (me included) bragging so much around the forum?
Just no need for it brah, only escalades the stupid petty arguments that happen so often.

I couldnt care less if it irritates them we brag, we have rights to. dont get it twisted, if they won do you think they would be as nice? Nope they'd probably still be slinging the Jube shit again.
And tbh, itf its acting like a dick, ill call it a dick.
Right now, i am also being a dick, see i can call myself too. No need to be a grass though mate I doubt anyone would have even noticed if you didnt HIGHLIGHT it to everyone. its not as if i went OTT.
Anyway, yeah. back on topic.

Cassius it's called being on top. Now you know how the Barcelona fans feel, they've been copping it day in day out for four years on these forums.

Re: Serie A Team of the season 2011-2012
It's definitely petty, however it's inevitable. When Inter were on top, Juve and Milan fans bonded. When we won the Inter and Juve fans were closer than they'd been in years - never too close mind you. Prepare to see a lot of Lombard solidarity suddenly arise in Serie A discussions.
The only way it could be avoided is with a people's champion whom everybody loves such as Roma or Napoli.
Or Pescara. Get in Zeman, you beauty.
