I think the 4-2-4 will be used a lot more than the 4-3-3, why else add so much winger depth?

I hope Vidal still gets a lot of playing time but I am pretty happy that Pirlo-Marchisio will start.

Watch Vidal, he might ask for an early exit as he is a bench warmer now

So you are pretty happy if Marchisio starts ahead of vidal and with him and pirlo in the middle ,get outplayed in Midfield ?

I am sorry but please dont take this as provocation but Marchisio-Pirlo in the middle sounds so defensively fragile..Marchisio can be easily outmuscled in midfield and we all know regarding Pirlo's defensive prowess..And niether of them are quick..

Either i would like to see Pirlo-Vidal or Marchisio-Vidal..

I completely disagree. Surag, being biased aside, we all know you're saying this because you said in the past that you hate Marchisio. Sure I love Marchisio, but that's irrelavent as Conte thinks he's the better option regardless. Both players are great, Marchisio is better at breaking plays while Vidal is better at being an AM. Sure Vidal can break plays, but in reality Marchisio is just better. In regards to this, Vidal would have the same problems as in being out muscled no matter what.

If that happens Vidal will overtake his spot. I am just happy that Marchisio gets a chance to be the midfield general.

I have always been skeptical of Pirlo-Marchisio midfield..

I would like to have Pirlo in midfield simply because of his sleek passing,his playmaking abilities and his ability to set the tempo of the game..But again there are negatives in his case too..

If Pirlo is benched can Marchisio take on the mantle of holding the midfield together and perform as a regista ?I doubt since he is more suited to closing down opposition midfielders and make timely interceptions..

Vidal alongside Pirlo offers a different dimension to the midfield..Vidal is speedy,great work ethic ,he brings that physical presence to the table all in all he would perfectly complement Pirlo..

My preference is Vidal-Pirlo and Pirlo sub for Marchisio in the second half..sounds legit..

I have a feeling it will be Marchisio on the bench and not Vidal....

At some point I expect that, honestly.
However, right now I think that Marchisio and Pirlo will only grow playing together and they have played together against Milan and Inter if I recall correctly, so to start I expect them in the middle.

Not one game with him in CM...

Conte made it clear, Marchisio is only a CM

Marchisio started off on the left under Conte too.
It is still possible and likely that Vidal will play in the center, he certainly isn't a winger, he is a CM at his best.

but yes, Marchisio will be a starter unless proven otherwise. Vidal will certainly be breathing down his neck, I can tell you that much. Vidal is quite a player and he will earn it if Marchisio lets him.
