La Masia - Page 37 Empty Re: La Masia

Wenger is trying to snatch Samper for years now. First time I heard about those kind of rumours must have been 3 years ago if not further back. Here is an article from 2010: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/arsene-wenger-tracking-barcelonas-new-1693565 Laughing

Samper is legit. Won't be surprised if he does a Busquets and already ascends to the first team in the middle of the season, at worst next season. He looked near-ready in preseason.

Regarding Adama that's pretty much how I feel as well. He has more to his game than Tello for sure but there is still something 1-dimensional about him, if that's the correct description. Certainly for a Barca player.

Certainly prefer Adama to Tello. More skilful and physical and as mentioned, less predictable. But like most African players, he seems like an early bloomer. He won't ever be a starter for Barcelona.

Good article on Barca B and their transformation under Eusebio, how Lucho has already given more playing time to B players after 2 games than Martino in the entire season, the scouting work of Zubi for the B team (which seems much better than his work for the first team), why Barca don't rush players anymore (Munir debuted with Barca B only at age 18) and some more:

http://www.totalbarca.com/2014/youth/managing-la-masia-the-quiet-makeover-of-barca-b

Really exciting times ahead. The transfer ban doesn't even bother me honestly. Lots of talent that has great chances to make it to the first team until next year.

The best player I've seen in our youth ranks. Can do absolutely everything and shows a maturity of a 25 year old.

So remember Sergi Canos kid we got off of you?

Well he has 18 goals and 11 assists this season in our academy.

He looks very special even though there are a few in our academy that rated higher than him. But he's doing so much better now that he's settled. He struggled a bit last season.

Mathematically, yes. Realistically, they're screwed; All but one of their four remaining matches are against tough teams in the upper half of the table, two of them being Valladolid and Las Palmas who are 4th and 5th respectively and look set to make the playoffs.

Officially relegated to Segunda B after losing to Leganes 2-5 at home. Jordi is as good as gone, so whom do you guys think we will/should replace him with?

Ayoub Abou left our youths... a pity, I had very high hopes on this player, a mini Toure Yaya. He seems to be going to Porto... another gem they'll sell for 30-40 milions in 5 years time.

Watched him many times. He is a mulato Xavi. Great central midfielder. However, he is only 9 or 10 and just started playing futbol 11. You cant' really say anything about his prospects at this age.

Carles Aleñá will surely make it to Barça first team in time, I'd put my money on it. Wether he will be a starter it's hard to tell, but he is definitely a top prospect in ou youth ranks. He is a Busquets with much more mobility and attacking danger (he used to play as pivot but he is recently used much more as CM due to this).

Typical when your name is Joan Roman. His mom should have known better.
