This team can win the champion's league. Aside from thiago and fontas this is a barca A playing.

i think that might be a little optimistic, but it is definitely the best starting XI made up entirely of a team's youth products in the world. I don't think that back line is good enough to win UCL or La Liga. But wow, if La Masia isn't a footballing factory idk what is

Re: La Masia 11
Montoya in for Fontas is a better side. Fontas isn't that great as a LB, he just played there last season because there were no other options.
Now thats a team!
Valdes
Montoya - Pique - Busquets - Puyol
Xavi - Cesc - Thiago
Pedro - Messi - Iniesta

No, not officially, but he's been with the 1st team for every training session and game so far. He was being looked at by the likes of Valencia and Roma, but he chose to stay because he was probably promised plenty of first team opportunities. He'll be a bit like Thiago last season, or Pedro in his first season... he'll train a lot with 1st team and play the odd game.

Re: La Masia 11
Oh ok. Hopefully one of those two can have a breakout season, also like thiago last season, and be that next big defender since we might not be signing one yet. But it shows how impressive this generation is, when you can make an XI, and still have decent players left over.BarcaKizz wrote:barca 2011 wrote:Damn thats a good team. Re: La Masia 11
Generation of 87
Cesc, Piqué, Messi, Pedro and Alexis were all born in 1987. The first three of these current Barça players formed part of one of the best junior teams the club has ever had.
The generation of 1987 are destined to write one of the most brilliant pages in FCB history. All these players came to this earth 24 years ago, and are all playing together under Josep Guardiola.
Cesc, Piqué and Messi in 2001 cadet team
Cesc Fàbregas’ arrivals marks the return of the magical trio that played for the under 14, or ‘cadet’ team in 2001. Cesc, Piqué and Messi were already showing signs of the footballing greats they would become, but never dreamed that things would work out quite so amazingly for them.
Barça’s third goal against Real Madrid was the fruit of the games played of old on the pitches next to the Miniestadi. Cesc provided the ball to Messi, who played a pone-two with Adriano, whose pass was inch perfect and was finished off sweetly by the Argentinian.
It was like a glorious return to the past, which Cesc remembered in an exclusive interview with Barça TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat: “That team played some really good championships and we were very united. It was one of the best years of my life. I don’t think any of us imagined that we’d play for the first team one day”.
Pedro and Alexis, complete the 87 quintet
Cesc, Piqué and Messi made history with that cadet team, but the other players born in 1987 were elsewhere at the time, Pedro Rodríguez and Alexis Sánchez. Pedro missed out the chance to play as a youngster with Cesc, Piqué and Messi, but since his arrival has turned out to be one of the most surprising stars in the squad.
Alexis Sánchez’s Barça debut at the Santiago Bernabéu showed that he has all the qualities to be a big success at the Camp Nou, and now forms part of a generation that is making history.

Good enough to beat many many teams. I'd argue that it's at Arsenal's level. Although I would personally choose to play Xavi as the DM and not Cesc, who I think is ill equipped there.

What makes you so sure khaled?
Chelsea are building a team for the future and I believe AVB sees Romeu in those plans and if Romeu can meet his expectations he will be a starter, abd if he doesn't Barca might not want him back. if he does Chelses will do everything in their power to keep him.

Re: La Masia 11
Never really liked Romeu that much. He has potential, but I don't really see him being a world-beater. I can't really see him getting enough game time at Chelsea so I think he'll become a bit like Gio Dos Santos... will have made little progress in 3 years time. We won't buy him back.
Next year we should definitely promote Montoya, he's probably ready now, but its better he gets games with Barca B and plays with us on occasion when needed.
I'd also promote Mino next year. Pinto's very important for squad morale, but I think this year should be his final one... maybe he'll be willing to stay on as a motivational staff? Or he could be one of those player trainers. In emergency, he's our 3rd keeper, the rest of the time he helps with coaching the GKs etc. (Also whistling from the sideline and protecting our midget fleet when needed.
I think I'd prefer Sergi Roberto stay in the B team and play when needed with Barca. Sell Keita so he gets more chances. He's a great tactical option as he's very different to our current mids, a very complete player. I'd like him to play half his games with us for example. However, we'll still have Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc and Thiago! All world class by then and there's not enough time to completely promote Sergi. Remember that Barca B is a Segunda team now, with great quality... so its great experience, its like a loan but with Barca philosophy and the chance to be called up at all times! Make him captain of Barca B next year and by the end of the year, he may have made the transition.
I guess we'll see this year whether we do need another CB or not in the squad. My suspicions are 'yes'. I think we'll be OK, but Puyol and Abi will be a year older again. I think unless Fontas becomes a boss then we may buy another CB. Interesting to see Mascherano's status next year too... Not convinced by Bartra yet, but we will add someone next year there I believe.
I think we could also go for a promising LB next year...

Re: La Masia 11
IMO, from what i saw from them in youth & first team friendly matches etc..
- Montoya, Mino & Sergi Roberto are ready to make first team next season..
- Bartra
What's great about this player he is very versatile, he can play as a RCB, RB & even DM! He is a very gd Passer & tackler, but still needs to improve physically & needs more experience to play RCB position..
Therefore, i think he can start play on Right Back (with Montoya), gain more experience to play the as a CB!
- We need 3 players next season to replace Pinto, Kieta & Maxwell...
IMO, Montoya, Sergi Roberto & Mino are ready to make this step for first team in 2012/2013..
According to Bartra's performance next season with Barca"B", we can see if he is ready to be promoted..
So we could have up to 15 La Masia Players in 2012
======================
2013-2014:
- We can buyback Romeu & Bojan.. Promote Deulofeu with Gomez/Muniesa etc..
Romeu has great passing abilities, yes he is not as gd as Busq now, but what great about him, he is great physically, which something different from Busquets & can give us different options to the squad..
IMO, he can be our future DM alongside with Busquets..
Romeu is 4 years younger than Busquets, with his experience he will get from EPL.. i think he will be ready to play @ Barca!!
depending on Villa,Abidal & Puyol's perfromance..
SOON the dream can come True ,within 2 years we can have a starting line-up "All Made in La Masia" & Squad almost made in La Masia
The Future Barca
2013/2014
Valdes/Mino
Montoya/Bartra - Pique/Gomez - Puyol/Fontas - Adriano/Muniesa/Grimaldo
Thiago/Xavi - Busq/Romeu - Cesc/Iniesta/Sergi Roberto
Sanchez/Pedro - Messi/Rafinha - Bojan/Deulofeu
2013/2014 Squad:
GK: 2
Defenders: 8 + Grimaldo
Midfielders: 7
Forwards: 5 + Rafinha
Grimaldo & Rafinha will have some playing time @first team & play for B team at same time
hahahaha
