Messi will win Balon D'Ore if CR fails in Euros

this ain't no joke though, Barcelona has gone from winning every trophy to winning nothing and messi winning all, just change the name already to Messi FC

Also it isn't a one game or two games prize, it's a season/ year prize.

Really, why are we fighting over some individual awards? We all know Messi is awesome. It is not like him getting Balon D'or will fulfill our life's purpose. Neither does Ronaldo winning it help us.

Zelous. What big games are you talking? Messi won Supercopa for Barcelona 3+2, Uefa Supercup 1+1, Fifa Club World Cup 2+1. Messi was instrumental elminating Moudrid in Copa. Messi was more decisive than Cronaldo in La Liga, Moudrid won because of the team, not because of Cronaldo.

Chelsea? Barcelona got eliminated because they failed to make scoring opportunities count, not because of Messi. Messi made throughball to Fabregas in 1st leg, and if that would have gone in, it would have been a lot better for Barcelona. And Barcelona would probably even got eliminated by Milan without Messi.

Messi also made throughball for Xavi in latest Clasico, and even if Barcelona would have won the game with it, Moudrid would probably still have won the La Liga, because Barca as a team was not good enough.

Messi's season is best individual season of all time, and by huge margin this season to any other player. And that is why with current results, he will win it.

I really don't believe people are still speaking about Sneijder.. His performance in the last 2 years, is the biggest example why he didn't even deserve to be in the Top 3... No one denies he was very good in 1st 6 month of 2010 including the Wolrd Cup.
But he's not ballon d'or material... he wasn't even the best midfielder in the world... (behind Xavi and Iniesta)...

Yeah, Madrid was pwning Barcelona in supercups, but Messi pwned everybody. Cronaldo missed penalty against Bayern. Cronaldo made a goal from Özil's throughball in last Clasico, so he should win Ballon d'Or?

Barca were not motivated enough, Messi carried team trough whole season, by pretty much by himself.

Cronaldo will have a chance if he wins Euros by himself, I'll give you that.

What are you talking about? Sneijder got the most votes from Journalists that year, if it was under the old rules he would have won. This is a fact, not an opinion.

It doesn't matter what happens after that, Balon D'Or is a yearly award and it only takes that year into account.
