Ronaldinho was my all time favorite, not only did he play in such a beautiful way, he always had that smile that showed humbleness and enjoyment of the game

Well, I already mentioned Sepp Maier and Oliver Kahn, but as most people here list a couple more heroes than only one or two, I'd like to add Dino Zoff and Gigi Buffon, too.
And hopefully Manuel Neuer will become a hero tonight (and in the CL semi second leg) against Real Madrid, too

I have many names in mind. Spaniards (), Italians (mostly Italians), Dalglish etc
But I'll come down to one name as difficult as it may be.
Which is also why I am very surprised no one mentioned him:
I'm not even just talking about the ridiculously talented & intelligent genius he was on the pitch, I'm speaking about off the field and his post retirement humanitarian acts which would make even Messi flinch.
In general I follow Guardiola as target persona to achieve if I had to pick a footballing persona, yet to me Baggio is an icon in every possible way.
Bless him.
