I was watching Al Jazeera and the commentator also wrote it down as Ruben, and he was clealry quiet puzzled on air. It was actually pretty funny listening to him mumble and shuffling around papers, lol.

I think the referee altering what's written in his report later on puts him in a worst position with regards to his conduct tonight. Had he let it off as a mistake, people would've (probably) brushed it off, but he changed it...shit just got real.

The referee felt the need to balance the wrong decisions that have gone wrong against Barcelona and Madrid.

no i fully understand, and IMO the ref was poor on both sides. trust me i was in a chat defending the ref and not to scapegoat him (much bigger problems than refs imo)

i just think its interesting how some of the decisions went in this match:

ive never seen a player carded twice and not sent off (hoping theres a better explanation for this)

and rarely have i seen a player shown a straight red for dissent.

missed calls of pulled shirts in the box i see every weekend so that doesnt interest me.

@Deez: I understand where you're coming from, I did not watch the match as I was helping out at an infosession, but from the comments I've read it seems like both teams have reason to complain.

The ref was bad. As far as the double yellow, according to the official RFEF website the first one was on Senna, hope that helps understand. I don't know if it's fair.

Yah the thing is that yellow was not for Senna. Full stop. The RFEF derives its info from what the referee gives anyways.

I an investigation oughta be launched on this. Not for the double yellow, but for the blatant manipulation of reports by the referee.

i dont have a perfect memory but i thought ruben got the first yellow for pushing arbeloa (i dont remember senna being anywhere near this play)

and the second obviously was on arbeloa again for sitting on him lol

As far as i'm concerned there was no Senna around the referee when he was pulling his card out.
