128 goals in 128 games now for Madrid. Best goal average in Madrid history. Better than Di Stefano and Puskas. And way way better than Ronaldo, RVN, Hugo Sanchez and every other striker in Madrid history.
98 goals in 89 La Liga games. Best average in La Liga history.
19 goals in 24 CL games. Second best average after Di Stefano for Madrid.
No Messi comparison, but he's on route to becoming one of the absolute best goalscorers in football history. As a wing forward.

i think we all appreciate how great messi is going to be in the historical spectrum right alongside pele maradona zizou etc
ronaldo wont be that highly regarded but i think he has been just fantastic for us, records like that wont be seen for a long time in world football

Incredible numbers. Ruthless goalscorer, even without the penalties the man is just consistency at its best. I'd agree that as a goalscorer he's one of the best in history.

And to think that many Madrid fans were calling for his sale after Barça beat you repeteadly from November to February....
I wished Madrid sold him. We wouldn't have competition in the league without Cipriano.
He is a goal machine, although you have to admit that his numbers are inflated by an unprecedented in football history amount of penalties called in Madrid's favour.

Those are Football Manager-esque sort of numbers. 128 in 128 is really an insane stat and it shows his ruthlessness in front of goal. Good for him...

The thread is not meant to compare the two players. Just celebrate Ronaldo for his amazing consistency and historical relevance.

Actually he is not an amazing finisher. likes of RVN, R9, Puskas and many other of our great strikers were far better finishers.
but what makes Ronaldo a great goalscorer is his work rate, timing and energy + he can score all kind of goals. he is one of the best athletes in history.

Mamad, when you score 128 in 128, you are an excellent finisher. Even if you try to go more into detail of shots to goals ratio, it really is very hard to say the man isn't an amazing finisher.

Sure, but even without penalties it would be something like what, 100-110 goals in 128 games? Still crazy.

How often does he miss clear chances? Sure it happens, but it happens to Messi and it happened to R9, RVN, Raúl... CR7 is not a lesser finisher than any of them in my book.
CR7 takes alot of shots from bad angles, into crowds and from long distance that bring his goal/shot average. But if I were to choose between Ronaldo, Higuain or Benzema in a 1v1 against a goalkeeper I'd pick Ronaldo any day of the week.
