Nope, Rome was meant to go considerably longer than it did.

Shame , probably the best series I've ever seen, cancelled because of high production costs, had it been made a couple years later like GOT there woulve been no issues.

It's interesting , some of these shows mentioned went 5+ seasons 100 + episodes, I mean, what's the cutoff point because eventually you can just say any great TV show eventually got cancelled since they all end (other than the Simpsons).

Also, when I created this thread, I had more in mind series that never got a chance and were cancelled. Shows like Seinfeld, that had 9 seasons, had as much life as you would expect even if it was cancelled. The Wire had 5 seasons at HBO, which is pretty much unheard of.

Yes i have among many other shows like Breaking Bad, Heroes, How i met your Mother, Dexter, Mad Men, Archer etc etc that i hadn't watched at that time.

Although i haven't watched them all through to the end yet.

I tend to bounce from one TV series to the next so don't always finish them lol.

I found the humour in Family Guy just too immature now :S loved it when I was 14, now not so much and I cringe at it.

Down to last 3 episodes of Stargate Universe This show has grown on me...
