The Following || TV Series
Anybody watch this?
Finished the whole 1st season in like 2 days. Great show, liked it a lot. Kevin Bacon Winona (whatever her real name is)

- Spoiler:
- Also wondering how they could possibly extend this in the second season given what happened to the main antagonist Joe Carroll. The ending was a cliffhanger obviously, but I'm struggling to think how they will extend the same cult further.

Re: The Following || TV Series
It was indeed a good first season, but I hesitate to call it great.
Love James Purefoy in these types of roles. There was a lot of Marc Antony (he played him on "Rome") in this character.
As for the 2nd season, they're either going to introduce a bigger, more dangerous cult or their going to continue on with the current cult. With so many followers, it's not hard to see one of them getting missed in the subsequent crackdown. They'd lie low and then start over again.

Re: The Following || TV Series
It was still great for me, I wouldn't compare it to the likes of Justified, House of Cards, Breaking Bad, GoT etc but nonetheless it had its own spark.
And agreed on Purefoy. Marc Anthony was one of the best characters on Rome. And a lot of his acting here portraying Joe Carroll reminded me of Marc Anthony. Especially the parts where he would get dead drunk.
There were some of the followers (i.e. Emma, Molly) who didn't get caught but none of them were major except those two. It would also be weird if they completely deviated from this current cult since basically the whole show was based on it.
As far as Joe Carroll goes, do we even know 100% that he died?

Already interested with the beautiful Connie Nielsen on board for this season. She's going to be a great replacement for James Purefoy I feel.

Re: The Following || TV Series
You know Neal, they never actually confirmed that
The cliffhanger at the end is what's really got me excited. I'm guessing casting Connie Nielsen means their getting rid of Natalie Zea (who is smokin hot as well) which kind of ruins the cliffhanger as she was part of it.
- Spoiler:
- Purefoy died. I mean there was an explosion and he was in there but we didn't really see anything else

Connie Nielsen Them Danes taking over the television scene in the US
Ulrik Thomsen, Mads Mikkelsen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and now Connie Nielsen.
Will probably give this a go at some point.

There's always that possibility honestly, but maybe it's just me wanting to see her as a female-Milf-inated version of him

Yeah she actually fits that investigative role perfectly. I don't know what it is about her, but she's got a good presence in this sort of shows.
- Spoiler:
- Sadly she's turning into female Sean Bean lol

Re: The Following || TV Series
The most 'law enforcement ineptitude' filled show on television is back ladies and gentlemen.
And for whatever reason it's frickin addicting.
And for whatever reason it's frickin addicting.
- Spoiler:
- Joe Carroll is alive like I wagered. Another season with James Purefoy
Natalie Zea dead  Can't believe they've cut her role on Justified and on here
I like that Kevin Bacon has his own private investigation going because now he can be sure that no one from the outside can mess with it as opposed to how it was last season where they had perps in law enforcement. btw his NYD niece is hot
The twin characters are really interesting. this season should be very fun.

It's a bit addicting, isn't it?
Start the second season, the first episode is already out.

Re: The Following || TV Series
Loved this show in season 1
Love it so far now that it's back.
What I like, is that it's brutal in a realistic way. I mean, it's about cult maniacs/serial killers and all that. So, there's going to be some violent shit. Innocent people die a lot unlike plenty of other crime shows where one guy dies then everybody else usually gets saved dramatically.
Not to mention the main character has flaws, and doesn't always come out on top. Which is also a good thing. Kevin Bacon is constantly getting beaten, broken and stabbed. Which, again is a good thing. He's not superman.
I just hope that Ryan Hardy/Bacon joins up with the law enforcement team sooner or later. It would be a bit odd if for the whole season he crosses paths with the FBI and never actually joins them.
I knew Joe had to be alive, even before the trailers and first episode of S2.
He just had to be, you never seen him die and he was in a boat house inches away from the water. I'm glad, he has a great part in this.

Re: The Following || TV Series
Amazing opening episode. Proved me wrong in every way. This show has a lot more staying power than I originally thought based on that episode.
Natalie Zea had to go honestly. Her role in this was done and we've all seen what happens to characters like hers that linger on in the show without a purpose.
Some intriguing new characters, but there's one old character in particular that intrigues me: The faux-nanny and now uber emo-cyber punk. How she figures into this will either be a source of interest or one of annoyance.

Dat hair-do
I'd personally be wanting to blend in if I was a known associate of a cult leader and on the FBI wishlist.
Rainbow hair usually stands out somewhat imo
