Abou Diaby
I know he has not played in long time but the time he got today he was great. If he managed to get this injury crises over with I think he can be a monster in the midfield. For the few minutes he was one he showed how valuable he can be to us when he plays.
I think this is the reason Wenger is keeping him, I know I may be jumping the gun here but I would not sell him and will wait for him to get better. When he came on our midfield looked really different, I think he was the main reason why we played better. He could have scored and he had some nice passes.
So who is with me lets keep Diaby at Arsenal as long as we can?
I go first I want Diaby to stay and give him time to recover.

I honestly believe in hanging on to him.
We all know he has the talent but it is fitness where he lacks the most.

Wenger has shown great belief in him, i really hope he can recover from his injuries. He has the quality to be a great player but injuries have been hunting him all his career.

Re: Abou Diaby
I am a huge Diaby fan, but if his injuries are constantly getting in the way, then i dont know if its worth keeping him
He is one of the most talented footballers that have emerged from France, but He will be 26 soon.
Something to think about, Untill them i will keep Sticking with him because he is

Re: Abou Diaby
Diaby is a good player but this season he has played a total of what 50mins and we have paid 1.6M for that, sounds like a waste to me
moreover Diaby is horribly inconsistent and massively frustrating with his desire to dribble and try and hold people off
honestly I have given up on him, hes contributing nothing to our team and hasn't done for ages
and the difference between him and RvP is that when RvP was fit he showed massive quality Diaby has not

Re: Abou Diaby
Would be happy to keep Diaby but give him a contract on lower wages and if he makes X appearances it rises. No doubt he has talent just needs next pre season to get some match time and build his fitness up properly.

Re: Abou Diaby
we can hang on to him but dont complain about the club's wage policy then. i dont think diaby cant be really good for us but we have plenty of other players we can put in the midfield in the future

Re: Abou Diaby
should be sold immediately, but that is going to be hard so we might as well keep him and see if his injury situation improves. then we can sell him after because generally he is not that good a player. too inconsistent for a top side, dont let his 20min cameo fool you.

Re: Abou Diaby
I agree with REWB. What's the point of owning a Lamborghini if the engine needs a rebuild every time you take it out for a spin?
Don't want to sound like a *bleep*, but we should get rid of Diaby ASAP, cut our losses, learn from our mistake and use his fee and wages to acquire someone else.
Look at Rosicky, by the time he got over his injuries and came back, he was a shell of his little Mozart days

Re: Abou Diaby
With Lex on this one, you don't pay premium to enjoy fun little ride once in awhile, Eduardo was sold for much less injury. He was that explosion we really need in the midfield, I don't doubt his ability but with his wages/ minute played, even if he comes back and pulls out Messi like performance, I still prefer more stable & less injured option. He's also 26, not promising youngster anymore, at that age you gotta be a pillar for your club not cameo performer.

Re: Abou Diaby
I also agree we keep him. He's got massive talent to b the ultimate B2B player. He will allow the team to b able to change strategies when needed as he can play in as a scond striker or Attacking mid as well.
I'm sure all those wanting him out will eat their words next season

Re: Abou Diaby
If you want to call him a b2b we do not need him.
Ramsey, Wilshere, Artetta,Coquelin are all b2b
If he is an AM then he is not good enough nor consistent enough for arsenal. Along with this like someone mentioned earlier. Way to injured and when he is not injured he is not consistent.

Re: Abou Diaby
For the life of me, I will never work out why Wenger brought him on. This is a guy that hasn't played for God knows how long, yet Wenger brings him on in a high tempo game, of the back of no previous footballing minutes, only for him to get injured.
Why Wenger didn't just play him for 45 mins against Chelsea reserves today, makes absolutely no flippin sense. My patience has almost ran out with Diaby.

Re: Abou Diaby
weeelll... let's try if I can make sense of our dear neighbors...
As Abou Diaby's contract will run out in June 2016, Arsene Wenger has declared on BeinSport that he will propose an extension while he's finding his form again. "He's not fragile, it's just that he's been destroyed by a poor tackle", the French manager said. "As a footballer, you need mobility of your ankle. Once the mobility of your ankle is restrained, you compensate through something else.He was tackled at Sudnerland, 6 or 7 years ago. An malicious tackle that never was punished. This has restrained the mobility of his ankle. [..] He's a player I have enormous respect for. If he comes back, I will look after him. I have always believed in him." Abou Diaby has made only 22 appearances over the last 4 seasons, just one in 2014/15. Currently he has a harmstring injury.
