I think he's growing in confidence again BTW. Two goals in his last 3 games. 3 goals 3 assists on the season and only scored 4 last season. Smile

Same high work rate and coverage even though he's mostly been playing deeper this year and he still gets up into the box regularly.

The hero this team deserves to succeed Stevie.

Maybe I've just been paying more attention to stuff like this, but I think I've seen Henderson step up his leadership things on the pitch since the Gerrard announcement. Shouting encouragements, getting the spirits up, going to individual players to have a word with them etc. As long as he doesn't over-do it, I think he might be ready to captain us after all.

Definitely, and moreso when Gerrard is not on the pitch. He's really coming into the leadership role. Look at this:

Now the title is a bit misleading, but:

Like even that standoff with Costa, IMO, was a result of Costa getting up in the face of everyone on our team in the match and trying to be a 'bully' (even the commentators were mentioning it on my feed). Made Costa step off like the Alpha he is.

Premier League: Played 1815 minutes out of possible 1980 minutes

Overall, this guy has played 2812 minutes out of possible total 3210 minutes. That's 87.6% of our season so far.

Yeah, he needs a rest, but like I said elsewhere, we have no one who can do what he does. Emre comes closest, but there's no indication Rodgers is going to use him as CM.

Basically his (Rodgers) hands are tied. If he uses Emre in midfield, it will spoil the solidity we have gained in the back-line. But I guess he has to risk it sooner or later.

Hendo looked tired but still put in some great shifts against Chelsea. Should have been off, but yeah he needs a rest I don't care how industrious he is.

I really wish he had scored that header though. Would have been legendary.
