Those of us that have watched Messi closely over the past few years have noticed his FKs improving significantly over the years. Many on the Barca board thought they would get to this level soon.

Overall the game was nice to watch, but Paraguay didn't try to win or even draw. They're not the same team they were under Martino.

But it'll be useless, because even if Messi gets man-marked out of the game, we still have 3 other WC forwards playing that will take advantage of the spaces left. It's just as Albi said.

I still don't think the man-marking on Messi will work, but it will be interesting to watch.

I didn't watch Argentina's last match, but if their defense is still as shaky as it was before then Peru's attackers could rape!

Our defense in the Sabella era barring mistakes (e.g. goals conceded against brazil) has been more solid than it has been for many years I'd say, it has been a consistent line up at the back as well. I don't see Peru's stars effecting us too much just like how Paraguays stars didn't shine either.

If Messi is to be marked out, that will leave space for Di Maria Lavezzi and Higuain to exploit, 3 world class players. Honestly as long as Di Maria sees the ball often, we should do well.

Peru are a very solid team though, it will not be an easy fixture

Wow, what do they have against Argentina? I mean, I don't think even Brazilian fans would do that, and they're our biggest rivals. Can't discount Uruguay or Paraguayan fans though, they be crazy.
