Madridistas in Spanish seleccion
I know this thread probably belongs in the soon to be made world cup section, but I thought you all may be interested in our players on NT.
All but 3 spots (of 23) are now known and there are 6 of our players in the list. Carvajal, Ramos, Nacho, Isco, Asensio and Lucas. (lucas is the surprise to me).
The remaining 3 spots will be
- Odriozola or Sergi Roberto
- one of Bartra, Azpiliicueta, or Marco Alonso
- another one of list above or Morata (i.e do they go with 8 defense or 7, providing room for a 4th striker).
So in addition to the 6 of our players, there will be 3 players that we have had an interest in (De Gea, Kepa and Odriozola (if he makes it over Roberto)) plus possibly 2 ex canteras (Marco Alonso and Morata, although both are long shots)

Re: Madridistas in Spanish seleccion
I assume Nacho is there simply due to his versatility and his use of both feet equally.

Nacho is there as #3CB, he actually has played CB with NT a fair amount. Much more so than anyone else. They of course like his versatility. Azpili was just called up last time, but he also has versatility. My bet is that it Odriozola and Azpili to make it 7 defense with a fair amount of versatility, allowing Morata back on team.
