La Selección Argentina Empty La Selección Argentina

Post by BarrileteCosmico Thu Feb 23, 2012 3:36 pm

How to support la seleccion like a true fan:

Vamos, vamos, Argentina

In Spanish:

Vamos, vamos Argentina,
vamos, vamos a ganar,
que esta barra quilombera,
no te deja, no te deja de alentar.

English translation:

Let's go, let's go Argentina,
We're gonna, we're gonna win,
for these raucous supporters,
won't stop, won't stop cheering you.

Vamos, vamos, argentina (Alternate)

In Spanish:

Vamos vamos Argentina
Vamos a ganar
Vamos vamos Argentina
Vamos a ganar
Yo te sigo a todas partes a donde vas
cada vez te quiero mas!

In English:

Let's go, let's go Argentina
We're going to win
Let's go, let's go Argentina
We're going to win
I follow you wherever you go,
every day I love you more!

Esta es la banda loca...

In Spanish:

Esta es la banda loca de la Argentina
la que de las Malvinas nunca se olvida
la que deja la vida por los colores
la que le pide huevos a los jugadores
para ser campeones

In English:

This is the crazy gang from Argentina
The one that never forgets about the Falklands
The one that gives their life for the colours
The one that asks for huevos (balls) from the players
To be champions

Que de la mano de Maradona...

In Spanish:

Veni veni, canta conmigo, que un amigo vas a encontrar
Que de la mano de maradona todos la vuelta vamos a dar
Volveremos volveremos, volveremos otra vez,
Volveremo' a ser campeones, como en el 86.

In English:

Come, come, sing with me, that a friend you'll find,
That from the had of Maradona, everyone will run the lap
We will again, we will again, we will again,
We will be Champions again, like in '86

Yo, soy argentino, es un sentimiento...

In Spanish:

Ole ole ole, ole ole ole ola
Ole ole ole, cada dia te quiero mas!
Yo, soy argentino, es un sentimiento,
No puedo parar!

In English:

Ole ole ole, ole ole ole ola
Ole ole ole, every day I love you more!
I'm, from Argentina, it's a feeling,
I can't make it stop!

Brana LM? On top of Banega? Or are you just taking into account Banega's injury?

Also Jonas is a surprise. I'd rather have Salvio over him tbh if you're picking Di Maria over Lavezzi.

I picked Brana because he adds a lot of steel into the midfield which I'm presuming we would lack with Maschete in defense, and Banega has become too inconsistent, I'd rather have Gago play over him.

Jonas for his work rate and width he provides, Salvio and Gaitan were on my mind as well but I didn't think they would work out in practice, in a 442 maybe.

Is this a discussion about the team or are we just picking whichever 11 we think is the best?

I ask before I post my 11 with there be no realistic chance it will ever take the pitch.

It's a discussion for general Argentina national news, team selection, WC qualifiers, etc. The Germans had one and since we have a recent mini-rivalry I can't let them get one over us Razz

So yeah you can post a first eleven that has no chance of making it.

Excellent.

Okay. vs any team with 2 strikers.

---------------------------------------Romero-----------------------------------

----------------Mascherano---------Colo-----------Garay-------------------

Zanetti-----------Banega--------------------Cambiasso-----------Di Maria

-----------------------------------Messi---------------------------------------

------------------Aguero-------------------Lavezzi------------------------

I believe Cambiasso isnt done yet, last night I thought he did very well. But if he is done, then this Biglia seems to have a growing rep and could easily play the role here. I dont like the idea of Higuain starting despite not really playing consistent 90 minutes very often. I think Aguero and Lavezzi will cause havoc because they can spread out wide aswell as take up center positions.

Any other formation with just 1 striker, such as 433, 4231, 4411 ect

-------------------------------------Romero-----------------------------------

Zanetti--------------Mascherano---------Colo----------------------???

-----------------------Banega-----------Cambiasso----------------------

------------Gaitan---------------------------------Di Maria---------------

-----------------------------------Messi------------------------------------

----------------------------------Aguero----------------------------------

This is a copy of the Benfica formation they use in big games. Gaitan and Di Maria are doing two roles in one, both of them have experience in these roles. The often pick up the ball not center, but not wide, somewhere in between and look to proceed forward this way. If one is in that pocket of space looking to recieve the ball, the other takes up a true wide position which gives you the width. Ideally a better player in the air would be up front to take advantage of Di Maria and Gaitan to their fullest, perhaps Higuain could play here. If you have not seen Benfica play this way, think Milan, but instead of one holding player (Van Bommell) there are two and this is assisted by the next two players being much more creative and direct compared to the Milan two (Nocerino and Seedorf)

I unfortunately don't see Cambiasso playing for the NT again, a shame really because he would do wonders for our midfield.

What do you guys think of Palacios? He's kind of like Lavezzi, I like him, maybe as a super sub.

Franchise, I really like your second formation, Gago and Banega in midfield and that would be probably one of the best line ups we can put out now.

How come? Does everyone think he is finished? Never rated him?

I like Palacios, I remember when Barca were linked. Similar to Lavezzi indeed.

Yeah, I stole it from Benfica and it works very well for them because if you have wingers who can take up center positions aswell as wide ones, plus have great energy then it works well.

Campagnaro has been beast for Napoli this season, I think he should start alongside Mascherano or Garay if Mascherano is playing in midfield.

The worry I have about Campagnaro is a bit like the worry I had for Samuel.

I think he is an excellent defender, but Napoli play very deep because they look to counter.

If Argentina dont play that same deep backline, how will he cope?

@Jiopsi: the list is wrong, Salvio was called up instead of Di Maria due to Di Maria's injury

@ Dani: I like the 3 defender lineups, but realistically I don't think we would use them against many teams since only very few teams actually play with 2 strikers, within europe anyway. So the Benfica lineup is much more interesting to me. I like the idea of having 2 wide players in Gaitan and Di Maria and it working very well, that could definitely work.

Also, I don't think Cambiasso still has national team potential, as much as I like him. And I have to say that whenever I've actually seen him play this season he has looked very static, almost immobile. But apparently he's been playing differently? hmm

@Shini: you really think Lamela is ready for the NT?

@LM: Palacios plays very well, but I just can't see him taking up a starting spot in the NT.

Also Coloccini is in everyone's lineup, Mole

Indeed BC. But quite a few S.A teams still do, but I get your point. The Benfica formation came to mind beause Gaitan and Di Maria have proven themselves able to play two very difficult positions in that formation. Now wide players, not centermids, have to defend wing and center..its a hard role.

Maybe about Cambiasso, im not sure. I was just quite impressed with him vs OM and I am not 100% sure there are better option.

Good point about Samuel and the deep line Franchise.

Campagnaro's long passing

@BC Cambiasso.... static? hmm unheard of tbh. Must be the effects of the awful year Inter are having

I'm all for 4-4-2, Gaitan and Di Maria on the wings would be great.

Sabella named Cata Diaz and Campagnaro specifically, I'd be happy if they both started tbh, they've both had good seasons so far.

We have to construct a strong defence and that is why we called up who we did. There are players who I have picked for the first time, like Campagnaro and Cata Diaz.

I heard he wants to play Campagnaro in a fullback role(or at least, he said at first look he thought of him as playing as a full back). I think garay should start regardless.

I hope we'll have a better idea by the end of tomorrow's training session
