Coming up with the excuse that sub appearances are the reason for his poor performances.NVM the fact that he made 49 appearances last season and was garbage in a majority of them.NVM the fact that he has been useless in every game he has started this season.
He needs to accept the fact that he has been garbage and thats only down to him.Stop taking shots at Pep.Stop blaming sub appearances.
Once he accepts that,he needs to work hard to improve.Else he can get out.

Cesc thinks he can come into the squad and try to use indirect messages to demand more playing time. He knew when he joined the competition he would face. Pedro, Pique have all been there and they worked hard to get back into the 1st team. Thiago is fit now, so cesc is even in more trouble.

Whats annoying the most is that he isnt taking the game seriously at all. He's taking it like a walk in the park. Since there is no Pep anymore he will need to perform at the top level to get a starting spot into this team. I think Peps influence has made Fabregas think its a walk in the park for competiting for starting places. Tito and even Cesc himself knows the expectations of what he has to do on the pitch. He just isnt doing it right!

I have noticed his lack of intensity but at Arsenal he was the player with highest distance covered every match. It is a psychological problem in my opinion. He's not a lazy type of player.

I think that I vastly overrated his passing while at Arsenal.
I considered him the second best passer on the planet behind Xavi and very close to the maestro.
Now I realize that his passing is nowhere near Xavi's.
I think at Arsenal his passing under pressure and in tight spaces wasnt tested as much, which was why his passing appeared better than it was.
Here, his passing under pressure and in tight spaces matters a lot and is under scrutiny. And he has shown that its not in the same league as our other midfielders.
Xavi,Iniesta,Busquets and Messi are all clearly better passers.

Alex, I do remember you saying that. I didnt agree at the time.

I didnt agree because of the reasoning you provided, while it sounds right, I didnt think that far ahead.

I just was never THAT impressed with his passing. I considered him very good dont get me wrong though.

His passing has been horrible for us. The most annoying aspect is his sloppy giveaways. I can handle him not giving great final balls, I was not really anticipating them...but the sloppy giveaways...

He wasnt even that good. Tito is over doing it to give him confidence.

The 1st goal he "set up" he didnt even pass, he got tackled.

Super ball for Villa though. Indeed once the game opened up after we got the 2nd goal he was better.

All in all, okay performace, better than recently but nothing to shout about.

It's not about what you mean, it's what you do, he created the first goal.

Meh. It is about what you mean.

He isnt even going to get that lucky again and have a tackle lead directly to our player in front of goal. Its not a repeatable action.

He had a good game, especially when he played as a midfielder when Thiago came off. So that's a good sign.

Played well vs Getafe:

It's good that Villa is back as he leads the line better and always looks for a through-ball.

He took the tackle and the loose ball was stroke in goal from couple yards, after he dribbled two players. He created the goal no matter how you look it, and deserves credit from it.

Credit or no credit, I dont know about you, but I want consistent good performances.

Relying on defenders to tackle your dribble into chances wont get it done. But yes, of course his play forced the first goal.

Yes I want consistency also, everyone wants. And I've no problem of criticizing players after bad performance's. But I think critique should be reserved for the those games, not games like these.

Had probably his best game and I was really impressed how he played well as the midfielder when Thiago came off. His passing was good and always provided support for Xavi and co. Something he hasn't been doing for a very long time...

He played a major part in that first goal. Not only the assist but the build up and the one touch football. Simply is one of the top 10 greatest final ball players. Made some key final balls that led to glorious chnaces or goals. Stayed mostly in the middle of the park though when he saw the opportunity to attack, he made those runs in which a couple could have been goals.
Great game though needs to keep that kind of performance. Papers will say now that Barca have found their heir for Xavi through one match played by Fabregas in that position though he will need to play consistently in this position and adapting to the position more.

This match was one of his finest for Barcelona
The problem with Cesc is that people expect him to be either on Xavi/Iniesta's level or better, that is asking for way too much on a young player like him, he will improve.
