Dzeko is actually a good example. He is NO WHERE near his Wolfsburg form. He was at Gómez level scoring in his days, and in shitty Wolfsburg. I wanked over this guy back in the day, but it seems he's really lost confidence or just has not adapted at all to England.

This is literally a not so well thought out thread. Sneider is a treble winner and basically is having a poor season, would not even call that destroyed. Fabregas is having a good season at Barcelona and once again, just been going through some sort of weird form, not even close to destroyed. Sahin (supposedly) has knee issues and he is going through rehabilitation process (to be frank, no one really knows what is going on there), another case of not even close.

Two out of the 3 candidates are in their first season with their clubs so how the frak can their careers be destroyed? Anyway, since we on this path:

Tomas Rosicky: Fantastic player while at Dortmund, transferred to Arsenal, can't even catch a bus without being injured and lost all his technical ability: Destroyed

Arshavin: Excellent player for Zenith and Russia. Went to Arsenal and basically should just be a ball boy: Destroyed

Rosicky has only been hampered by injury, but he has put on some great performances lately. I definitely would not say he's lost all his techinical ability, it should be more his legs. Is it really fair to put injured players here?

Arshavin was awesome for 2 seasons, then age or lack of work ethic kicked in.

Hero to Zero: Hleb, Viera, Flamini and all those ex Arsenal players.

While I agree with most of what you said Doc tbf to Arshavin he had a great first season at Arsenal and an decent second one. Last season he was meh, but then again he was complaining that he was played out of position. I think he preferred to play central.

There is nothing fair to what the OP wrote so why be fair here.

I don't get it????

A lot of you EPL fans tell us how great your league is and how hard it is and then you turn around and tell us that Dzeko has not adapted or is a zero when he is 5th in your league in goals and starts over the likes of Balotelli and Adebayour.

News flash, even in Germany he was never better then RVP, Kun or Rooney so what is so surprising about him being right behind those guys in scoring?

You EPL fans are all over the place sometimes and I'm sure when people were "wanking" over Dzeko when he was lighting up Germany you would say let's see him do that in the EPL or he's nowhere close to RVP or Rooney.

So what's the issue?

IMO, he could have been Rooney or RVP level. Gómez is still shining at the top level, and Dzeko sort of reversed.

The point is he's not as good as he was made up to me.

Maybe more of a failed potential than Hero to Zero.

Yea, I'm just tired of the twofacedness on this forum. People contradict themselves over any issue just to make whatever point there trying to prove that day. Actually not even that day, that hour as you see the contradictions from thread to thread.

Don't see much "twofaceness" here. Just maybe exagerrated claims, which is pretty much forum trademark.

I mean again, just no. Dzeko was and never will be the player Rooney or RVP is and I don't like Arsenal or RVP but it's just a fact.

Before he got to the EPL you would never say he's better then those two and now that he's there he's not so what's the surprise? HE is still having a good year.

Don't know if you ever watched him, but he was one of the top striker prospects back then. He was like 23 back then and had top clubs like Bayern, Juve and others after his signature. Hell, he's still 25 and it doesn't mean he can't improve or find his old form. Still too young to compare him to Rooney who's spent most of his career in a single club and RVP who's in his prime.

Milos Krasic-Fan Favorite at Juventus ,ripping apart Serie A in his first half of the season at Juventus with his blistering pace and trickery ,was pretty much the shining light of the team.

Now neither can he run nor control or pass the ball properly.

Im not surprised with Dzeko's performance really, there is a quality jump between EPL and Bundesliga and it is showing,it will take more than 1 year to adjust.

Why did Özil and Khedira adapt right in their first season, then :lucas:

Or Mertesacker doing just fine from day 1. Or Suarez go from Dutch league to Liverpool legend in like a month.
