We've got wayy too many midfielders at the club and in the youth ranks already.

Remember, we'll still have Denilson coming back, and there's a chance we won't be able to sell him. He's on a good wage, and I don't think he's ambitious enough to take a paycut to get playing time.

Also, there's Lansbury who's been biding his time, and surely deserves a chance. Seems to shine whenever he suits up for England...Also there's Aneke who look very promising.

Unless we see offloading of midfielders, we won't get M'vila. Simply no room.

It's so odd that Wenger would want Mvila, when you have frimpong and Coquelin coming behind.

I'm not even sure what the market is in England for him, there is no chatter from L'Equipe for now. Big clubs arent chasing after DMs lately. I think he would be a strong fit for utd, he fits right into what they need.

There's discussion on this in the General Section. It was always anticipated that Götze would stay another year at Dortmund. The contract extension doesn't mean he won't leave in the summer of 2013, though. It just strengthens Dortmund's negotiationating position.

Besides, we were never going to buy him anyway.

Who thought we would sign Goetze or thinks we will sign Hazard is clearly brainwashed by Wenger lol

They're too expensive for Arsenal, that's how Arsenal works.

It seems we've moved on to a system that relies more on the wingers to provide than a central playmaker. It's a system designed to provide van Persie with the service he needs and not to get the best out of one player like before. So from this perspective there's not a great need for top quality CAM.

Currently, Arsenal can use any combination of Song/Coquelin and Arteta/Wilshere to control posession, and can then add Rosicky/Ramsey/Chamberlain/Diaby as a midfielder who plays between the lines and supports the attack. I think Ramsey and Chamberlain will only get better and provide good depth for when Rosicky cannot play.

So long as have genuine pace and penetration on the flanks we shouldn't have too many issues breaking teams down.

arsenal will battle with juventus to sign eden dzeko. the player has strong connection with samir nasri. both of them form a good partnership but it was broken by mancini. now its no way to fix it and he is being sold. also because he missed a chance to score a winner against stoke city

niklass bendtner could be his way back to arsenal as the striker has finally learned how to score. he would be back up to rvp with chamack likely to be sold

Chamakh's departure has been guaranteed for some time. Bendtner's coming back and will be retained, I'm told.
