Doc wrote:Speaking of La Liga, Preciado has been fired from Sporting. The man with the biggest balls in La Liga (he lost his wife, his son and then his father), the man who toppled Mourinho's league home record has been fired. Read that there were tears from both the great man and the club's president during the press conference.
Sadly, I don't think anyone can save Sporting from going down. Shame really...
I don't believe this......Did they ever spend a single cent on that squad? I believe it was just loans and free transfers and the he finishes 10th in La Liga.
I don't get it Sporting have been in the relegation zone every season.......until by some miracle he pulls them out of it.
Why would they fire the only think keeping them from the Segunda?

Still can't believe they took Pacheco on loan from Liverpool then immediately loaned him out to Rayo.

Re: Atletico Madrid reborn under Simeone!
And if playing like that is Simeone's idea of how to get points past big teams then I'm definitely not jumping on the bandwagon.
Anyways, shame about the injuries.

Come to Juventus Falcao, before it's too late and Atletico ruin your reputation.

Altetico didn't seem to hinder Kun's reputation

Red are you serious?
Why would a club ever do that :lol!:
Did Liverpool have to permit it though? I would think the parent club is the only one that has a right to loan their player.

Re: Atletico Madrid reborn under Simeone!
This is just a guess, but I think that Atletico took him on loan with an option to buy, and then sent him to Rayo to see if he would do well in the league with regular playing time. It doesn't seem like he's impressed.El Chelsea Fuerte wrote:Red are you serious?

Yeah but he made his major reputation with Atletico. Falcao went from being the record-breaking man at Porto and after a few years without being in the headlines his reputation will take a hit.

Re: Atletico Madrid reborn under Simeone!
Performances drive reputation, though. If Falcao keeps up his great scoring record, why would he be any less of a star in Madrid?
Also Kun was already a star by the time he went to Atletico. I think his transfer from Independiente to Atletico shattered some form of record. As a 19 year old he already went for 19M euros. He is the biggest talent to come out of primera for many years.

Moving to Ligue 1 is nearly as bad as moving to Russia in terms of publicity... unless you're Zlatan.Tomwin Lannister wrote:BarrileteCosmico wrote:Dat lack of headlines regarding AtletiTomwin Lannister wrote:Yeah but he made his major reputation with Atletico. Unfair to Falcao as he has been out with 6 month injury.
