nope, reason i mentioned assist is because chelsea lacks creativity in the final 3rd. They are lacking someone like Ozil. Modric isnt that player. Ofcoarse he might end up with 30 assists next season but he seems like a Hleb type player to me rather then an Ozil type

RG, Yes we want creativity but we also need someone with Vision, Modric has that, As long as he can find Torres is good places I'm happy.

i guess he will only improve playing for a club like chelsea.

I have a mixed attitude tbh... cos if Modric comes in its pretty much the yellow light for Lampard... and in a couple of years it would be the red light for him... its sad to see that happen.

as far as i can tell, you are looking for an AM that can play wide positions, great technically and creative, he fits just that. No offense to zhirkov, but i wouldnt play him behind my two strikers.

TBH we're looking for a creative player, doesn't have to be an AM really, it could be someone like Xabi Alonso.

Zhirkov would be played out wide, not behind the strikers.

Modric plays in a 4-2-3-1 at Spurs. Chelsea need to get him and an AM and bench/rotate Lampard.

they play two DM's in a 4-2-3-1.

Stats don't tell the whole story. Modric is a one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and Chelsea's midfield will be 5x better with Modric on board.
