Watched the game myself, I haven't seen the stats but I can't remember a single pass he misplaced in 60+ minutes.

Definitely. The central midfielders trust his defensive abilities enough to feel confident moving forward. So glad he's back in the team.

Well he indefinitely provides a vital cover for our backline which has been prone to mistakes pretty often!

But specially in the last game i felt i saw glimpses of the Lucas we all come to love . . The Midfield General :bow:

Just wondering would ye guys say he's back to the level he way before his injury?

Personally it seems to me like he's playing great and all but I was more orgasmic with his run of form before the injury.

One possible explanation is that with having more possession we dont have as much a need for his GOATness. (badly out but u hope you get me)

I still think he's physically not at that level he was at the start of last season. However, with every game he's edging closer. He's amazing right now but that still isn't 100% Lucas. I would say he's playing at 85-90% of his ability.

Lucas

He's probably the most important player in the dressing room even more so than Stevie and Carra because of his ability to speak Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Also because he's been injured recently he can give psychological advice to guys like Borini and Kelly.

Much more solid from him, big improvement on the Villa game. Couldn't have got much worse like, but still. Thankfully Moyes isn't the best manager and set United up to play in front of us too much. He should have used Kagawa, either as a 10 or coming in from the left, and/or had more runners from midfield to give us something to think about. The usual problems of giving away fouls in dangerous areas and not understanding the concept of jockeying persisted, but was covered to an extent by a deep line and Gerrard being quite defensive. Despite the standard expected from the opposition in both games, this one suited him a lot more and he played much better.
