Hello everyone ! Tomorrow i start my holidays. Only a few days but I am sure it will be very important as I had a difficult period .
(Today)
He has started training with the ball again, I just hope he returns as the same player he was

Hopefully Lucas comes back the same player. Glad he's recovering well.

Re: Lucas Leiva on the verge of recovery.
Funny how Liverpool's fans' opinion of this guy has changed over the past season or so...
Well deserved.
Hopefully he'll change the way your team was playing at the end of the season.

Its not funny, Its sad. We never saw his potential or understood why Rafa bought him, But Lucas wont mind, Everyone loves him now. He is on his way to become a legend.
Btw he has been our best player since 2-3 years now.
Im a BeLeiva.

2 seasons. He was the player with the EPL's most completed passes in 2010/11

If he didn't get injured he would be a Balon D'or candidate.
He's just going to have to win it next season.

A definite starter for Liverpool. However, should Gerrard play alongside him or at AM?

The early season when Lucas was playing every week, Adam and Hendo got into superb attacking positions. We might probably go for a customized 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1
Carroll the target man/New striker, Gerrard and Aqua/Sigurdsson the CM's, Lucas DM, Suarez on the right and a new winger.
It depends on the transfers in or out. 2 months more to go.

Re: Lucas Leiva on the verge of recovery.
I think Suarez would be better on the left cutting in.
Also in terms of the 4-3-3, I think it would suit Liverpool better. I don't think Gerrard's technically that good to play AM, I mean yeh he's all round good, but he's not exactly an Ozil or Iniesta type player who's good on the ball.

Re: Lucas Leiva on the verge of recovery.
Suarez works on either side, but he's actually been very good for Liverpool (and Ajax) when he's receiving the ball wide to the right side of goal. You would naturally assume that he would be more productive cutting in from the left, but he has a great outside-of-the-foot shot and loves cutting it back for other on-rushing attackers. In reality, he is likely to interchange with whoever plays opposite of him quite often, so it doesn't really matter.mtfootball wrote:I think Suarez would be better on the left cutting in.

I agree that Gerrard is more suited to a CM position than the CF/CAM position, but only because of his age. We want to prolong his career as much as possible, so the move further back is probably the more intelligent one. He excelled at the more attacking position under Rafa, but he's also shown that he can be a deeper CM for England in the Euros. In Rodgers; 4-3-3 he is likely to be the more attacking of the CMs, but still generally in the middle of the park.

Re: Lucas Leiva on the verge of recovery.
Question for Liverpool fans, assuming you buy nobody else how do you think you will line up next season?

It's unlikely that we would buy no one, but will there be properly big signings, I don't know.
Anyway:
Reina
Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique
Henderson - Gerrard - Lucas - Downing
Suarez - Carroll
Buying a winger into that XI and I'd be happy.

Re: Lucas Leiva on the verge of recovery.
^ BR has a massive hard in for tiki taka and Barca. N he always plays 433. There is more chance of me and Brenda having an orgy with Jessica alba and mila kunis than us ever playing 442 again as long as BR is in charge
