I'm really hoping we don't rush him. Fair enough if he's ready but I don't see the need to play him if he's not 100%. Especially as our midfield is doing quite well.

Allen commits to tackles to much and usually misses them, He gets caught out of position some times.

Still 3 weeks? I thought he was going to be back sooner. Oh well, looking forward to it anyway.

I still remember when rafa signed him for some 5mi, in July 2007. I honestly could not understand why we signed him that time. He was only 20-21 years of age that time. He was very raw at that time, but the way he has improved last few years, is completely unbelievable. Specially he started picking up form, from 2009. He is still only 25. So much of him is yet to come for liverpool.
I hope in the meantime we keep developing some midfielders like Lucas. The way he provides the link from defence to attack, winning the balls,scoring important goals, he has many assists also... I am sure we don't have such a complete player in our team. I really hope, Hendo learns all those tricks from him. I hope he gets some chances to provide that kind of training to academy players. In future point of view, we really need such type players. We have to lighten his burden.

This Sunday we'll be 10 weeks removed from his injury against City. So I'd say he's pretty much on track on his return.

We'll be a much better team with him playing. Especially our defense will be out of this world when he comes back.

Without injuries and poor form this core of the defense would be the best in the league.

Nah, the EL match should still be too soon, I think. He's only just come back to full training and given the seriousness of his two injuries the club will almost certainly want to be very careful bringing him back in.

The commentators during our Wigan game said that Lucas is back and will be featuring in midweek EL, I'm not sure how much they really know but if he's ready than I say put him in to slowly start getting match sharpness.
