I understand defending a lead, and the strategic merits of negative football. However, playing for a draw for the full 90 mins is an absolutely wretched strategy to watch for either set of supporters.

Did not expect to see this here. Totally did a double take before comprehending just what happened.

@ Mole. Yeah, we parked the bus in midweek. However, my point wasn't bashing the tactic of defending a lead. My point was to bash the tactic of defending "not a lead."

True, it is subtle. However, the little subtleties are the things that make life sweetest.
