Which club?
Re: Where should Hoilett go?
Played pretty well today despite the loss. He is clearly outgrowing is boots at Blackburn. He surely has to leave in the summer.
I don't know where he would fit in at Arsenal.

Krul(Valdes)
Santon(Alves) New CB(Puyol) Colo(Pique) New LB(Abidal)

Cabaye (Xavi) NEW CM (Iniesta)
Ben Arfa(Messi) Cisse(Eto'o) Ba (Henry)

We are playing 4-3-3 now and any player we buy is built to play that system and Hoilett would pretty good as a squad player IMO he could even play Iniesta's role from time to time

Re: Where should Hoilett go?
No idea i just know the targets are a CB, LB , CM and a young forward.
Also considering the players we have coming through and ones coming back from Injury we will have depth then to play 4-3-3 each week.
Pardew has said we have more or less completed a deal for a " top quality CB " no idea who tho.
Anyway Hoilett should join, who wants to join Arsenal or Liverpool anyways

Mole you really think Pardew can pull off that 4-3-3 like Barca ,who you seem to be modelling it after...

Re: Where should Hoilett go?
I was only playing with the Barca comparison lol, its a 4-3-3 yes but its quite different and yes i have utmost faith in Pardew, its actually more like Arsenal.
in the 4-3-3 we have passed along the ground and kept possession yes but we attack at a lot faster speed than Barca do.
Nah Nick i would be very suprised if that was it merely because the deal is supposedly already done and i dont think we could get Vertonghen without CL football.
Arsenal ruining the possibility of Ox and Ben Arfa running at teams

9. We have signed a centre-half for the summer. He acknowledges we need a left-back.
We tried to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain from Southampton but were priced out.
There was once a code in the media which determined that anything that was said at a Talk-In remained inside the room. However, in the days of Twitter-feeds, Facebook, Fans’ Forums, Joey Barton being shopped to Derek Llambias et al that code has now largely been broken. Having had a true faith table at the Alan Pardew Talk-In in aid of Wembley-bound Dunston UTS FC (nee “Fed”) on 29/Mar/12, we were never going to let on about what the manager had said as we didn’t consider it good form but well, if every newspaper in the NE can quote little bits and bobs of the Talk-In and present it as their interviews, then we can summarise the lot for you here.

Well, it's not like Vertonghen is a world beater or anything... oh well.
My sources tell me that the deal is done with Albiol, congratulations.

I also dont want Vertonghen because hes too similar to Coloccini lol, plus Pardew supposedly used the words " top class "
I doubt Albiol fits the category lol also we dont even scout in Spain lol, Germany, Holland and France is how we do.
I agree Josh, just because of the style of defender he is would fit perfectly with Coloccini.

I honestly think priority No 1 for Newcastle is keep Ben Arfa on the right track.

Re: Where should Hoilett go?
It won't happen, but to me Everton just feels right. They 100% want him (made a late bid in January), they need attacking options (Drenthe and Pienaar may not return), he'll walk right in and be first choice with no questions asked, the fans will be behind him and he can just go out there and ball for a proper club without massive pressure.
However, since Daddy is all about the endorsements, it's pretty much a lock that he'll head to a bigger name.

Newcastle would make the most sence. Most ambitious club in England and he'd start from day 1.
I guess Liverpool could lure him in since Downing is shit.

Nah he wouldnt start no questions ask Sushi considering we have Ba and Ben Arfa flanking Cisse in a 4-3-3....
LOL EP iam just reporting the targets we have is all we want a CB ( already done supposedly) LB, CM and young forward.
According to the news this morning the CB signed is Douglas from Twente.
I agree with Justdoit that Everton would be a good stage for Hoilett, i hope we get him tho he would be a fantastic alternate option to Ba or Ben Arfa.

Re: Where should Hoilett go?
No way he'd start right off the bat at Newcastle. Ba and Ben Arfa are doing a heckuva job at the moment. Moreover, the system finally seems to really suit the players.
@Mole: Really interesting analysis of the direction Pardew's taking. LB and CM are obvious areas for improvement. Guthrie has been holding his own, but is similar to us playing Spearing (it's out of need, not selection). Although Simpson has played well this season, he's never quite convinced me, either. CB is a little different. I thought Taylor was quite solid until he got injured. I'm assuming when you wrote that up that you see Taylor moving to 3rd choice, allowing a younger, more talented center-half to start.

I can see him going to Arsenal. Really good player, tricky with a lot of speed. I can see him excelling at a top club. He is being wasted in a dust team like B'Burn. Lucky for him his contract ends this summer.

he's not coming to arsenal we've got wingers (and ramsey )
newcastle should take him even if they are 4-3-3 now. HBA will get hurt again as usual so he can fill right in there

Doesn't hurt to have depth though. Plus he's free. Why not I say..
