Inter is now after Caceres

The industry expert Alfredo Pedulla talked about the recent market transactions during "Waiting for the transfer market" of Sportitalia: "Inter is included for Martin Caceres because Juventus has not closed the transaction. Physically he surpasses Montero completley, technically theyre on par. Montero edges him out in leadership but caceres while he can have hi reckless moments is not a head hot. Montero has the record in seri a for most red cards. Its completely feasible that Caceres would surpass him

Actually I agree with Vibe's direction. Montero was incredible, I can't possibly imagine Caceres to be close to him in terms of quality. I do think Chiellini will have an overall better career than Montero by the time he retires though.

i dont get why chiellini is overhyped so much... he is no where near barzagli, and no where near italian legends of the past.

Chiellini is the only world class defender that Juventus possesses and he is well worth the hype.

I saw Montero play, Montero was my idol. Caceres still hasnt hit his ceiling and yet at this age hes absoulty loved by Uruguayans. The general conception is thats hes the ebst defender weve had since Montero beter then Lugano Godin Sorondo Lembo Dario Rodriguez. Caceres has every skill needed to surpass montero excpet for leadership not to say hes not a leader just not at the level montero was. Im not saying Cacers will surpass Montero, im just saying tis completly possible

Caceres is a wonderfull defender he can play any position and just loves to defend, i think he does it best in the center and he would surely be an important signing

honestly I dont feel that way at all. I was a big fan of chiellini after euro and he was dominating a couple of years after that. Fact is though, in the world cup he was at fault for too many goals, last year he didnt do anything of significance and this year he is being outshined by barzagli (who i dont understand why he gets no praise), and he has been at fault for too many juve goals and hes missed header sitters . Not saying hes a bad defender (would want him over inter defenders atm). Even with italy imo most games he has been outperformed by ranocchia (not saying r>c , just his italia performances have been more convincing)

I hope he can recover his form from 3 years ago bur i honestly dont consider him world class nor do i consider him juve's best.

I watched Montero play for Juventus for the last five years of his time in Turin. He was a great defender, but he had his weak points, for example, he was very reckless player, caused a hell amount of penalties, committed the most fouls and no wonder he is the most red carded player in Juventus history.

Chiellini on his side, is a fantastic defender, classy and elegant, clean tackles, wins almost each and every aerial duel with any opponent, he owned Europe's finest, Torres, Villa, Ibra, Benzema and so on, no wonder Ibrahimovic never against Juve with Chiello on the pitch in his Inter and AC milan times combined.

The only thing Montero has over Chiellini is success and trophies, but can't be counted because Montero had the likes of Juliano, Ferara, Davids, Deschamps, Zidane, Del piero(in his golden era), Nedved, Trezeguent, Inzaghi and many other legends around him, while Chiellini has/had the likes of Pepe, Amauri, Almiron, Zebina, Molinaro, and Giaccherini, so you figure out for yourself.

Now, an ignorant troll by the name VibeTribe comes around with his bullshit and pathetic trolling and yet claims to be knowledgeble about our past and takes shameful digs on a legend like Chiellini.

Barzagli gets plenty of praise, about as much as he should. Sometimes you guys (generally) make no sense. Chiellini has been playing at a high level for many seasons, Barzagli has ressurected his career but really this half a season has been notable. Just like you get upset when people rate Marchisio or Vidal based on half a season, how, by the same logic, can Barzagli possibly be rated on the same timeline?

I would also disagree about him being at fault for many of Juventus' goals, thats a pretty bold post. Off the top of my head I remember Bologna's goal.
Chiellini has been consistently the best defender for Juventus for a while now.

If were going off of world cup 2010 performances for Italy, my God, I don't even know who I would rate... Quagliarella and thats all I guess.
