Elite Player Performance Plan

Modeled after the Bundesliga, it's set to kick in by next season, I believe.
This will allow the best academies (rated from Levels 1-4) to recruit the best youngsters and, among other things, it will allow more coaching time as the current rules are pretty strict.
The PL needed something like this!

Not sure this is the right way though... Seems to be favoring the top teams much more, meaning that this will create a bigger separation between the EPL and the lower leagues.

There's always going to be a big separation between EPL and Championship...isn't that evident already? And isn't that always the case?
Top English players make their way to top teams anyways wherever they start from and don't do that much for the club that developed them either, so might as well let them start at a top academy and develop them even better.

Big clubs pay the championship ones good money for their players though. This way, not only will the championship clubs not get money for some of their players, but they'll actually lose out on gaining more money because of that.

Well, 46 out of 72 football club representatives voted for the new system...
You're right though, lower league academies will be threatened.
