We have Mascherano and Busi, both are under 25 so we shouldnt even have to worry about that area for a while

Masch is 27 now, so he isn't getting any younger although he's in his prime.

Unless you plan on never conceding another corner this sounds like a horrible idea

Mascherano is barely taller than Thiago (1.74m) and is much worse on the ball.

Keita is useless.

Yes, the plan would be to not concede corners. As Cruyff said, if you are not good defending corners, don't concede them. And if we concede corners, leave 3 men up the pitch as we did in the UCL vs. United. so we can leave our biggest men in the box and balance things out.

Thats because of the difference in style Adit.......

People dont like Keita because he doesnt fit the system aswell as some others in the squad, Barca fans would get angry at Khedira in the same fashion.....

Keita is liability, Khedira is average but not liability. Maybe it's due to the fact that our midfield is much superior than Madrid and that's make Keita look worse than Khedira in RM midfield. Keita slow our tempo, passes only backwards, he is terrible reader of the game, crap at DM. FFS headless chicken who just fast runs and that's it, no tackles and interceptions. Shame that Masche can't even get 1 minute at DM because of Pep Keita's love.

Hopefully Mali will go to the final of AFCON and we won't have to see humble Keita fuc*ing up when he comes off the bench. Finally bench players will have some hope to come on from the bench. Before it was well known fact - you can warm up but regardless of result humble Keita will come in.

Keita to Newcastle, come on. Sign him up Pardew.

Keita is'nt bad, just would prefer Mascherano and Thiago to play above him.

Thats because you got a crap midfield and we dont lol

Players as average as Keita and Khedira can look decent for you, because you got noone better.

But for us, they stand out as crap because the guys who can play instead of them are good.

Yeh I think Khedira is more of a bench player. However I'm not sure Mourinho would ever play a trio of Alonso, Sahin and Ozil.

On similar lines essentially this is what I was thinking a few days back.

Mascherano, a quality defensive midfielder turned into a defender after joining Barcelona. Why?

Fabregas, a quality central/attacking midfielder is turning into a forward after joining Barcelona. Why?

Simply because there is no place in the midfield since Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets have all become irreplaceable.

Thiago played as DM today and did a superb job. We might miss Busquets height, but aside from that, I feel that he is the best replacement we can get at DM. Him or JDS, but both will do better than Machete for us.

Great performance from Thiago, very complete moving the ball forward, positionally, and defending. It confirms my theory, and it seems Pep agrees with it.

Keita, you have no place at Barça.
