It is not a FAIL to mistake someones British nationality.
On Topic: Funny how Sunderland fans are getting cocky and arrogant after their team has been a joke for 2 straight years while Newcastle have had a better run this year then they have in probably their premier ship lifetime. Pardew not PL material?

Definition of irony a Liverpool fan calling any team a joke considering where they have been the last few seasons.
If you wernt a typical glory fan you would have a clue what you were talking about and remember this point last season where Sunderland were in a similar table position to Liverpool & Newcastle, before we lost all our strikers.

Another great 3 points and now in top 10!
Solid in defence and attack and yet again with some great goals from Vaughan and Gardner.

(Infostrada Sports): Sunderland have picked up 13 points in 6 matches under ONeill after picking up 11 points in 13 matches under Bruce. #BBCFootball

ONeill started his job at Sunderland on Monday 5 Dec. If the #EPL would have started then, Sunderland would be leading it now. #BBCFootball

Re: Martin O Neill appreciation thread
O'Neil is a very good manager but to be fair Sunderland were never as bad as they were playing.
I just think all the turnover in the team was the culprit as to why they were playing so poorly as they still have a bunch of good players in the side.
They never should have been anywhere near the relegation zone to begin with.

Re: Martin O Neill appreciation thread
He's starting to really annoy me
Need to start winning quickly as they are catching fast, its now a 6 points gap but we do have a game in hand but thats against Utd with Webb as Ref so i doubt we will get anything there......
I agree with Dnmac tbh, they have always been a top 10 side.

O'Neill's a fantastic manager and a great guy, always has been. He deserves so much more than Sunderland though, there's only so much you can do with them, they just don't have the resources to ever overcome mid-table mediocrity. I really hope the Tottenham board take him into consideration when Redknapp leaves for England in the summer

Re: Martin O Neill appreciation thread
Think if they still had Gyan then O'Neil would really be cooking with gas.
I'm not a huge Sunderland follower or anything but I never really understood what the hell happened with Gyan leaving before the season?
Is there any chance O'Neil could get him to come back, was it a player manager thing?

Money. Gyan wanted it and Sunderland wanted it. The deal made sense for both parties. He won't be back this season

Yea, I mean he's not World Class or anything but then again it's Sunderland and he was only 13 million.
He did have 10 goals and 4 assists in the 21 EPL games he played in last year. Thats pretty good for his first year in the EPL.
Not to mention the year before at Rennes he had 14 goals and 3 assists in 30 games. Again not great but good enough for Sunderland.
Like I said he's not world class or anything and I'd take Ba for free any day of the week over him but he had a nice season for Sunderland last year and they could use the scoring and energy he provides up front.

Poyet won't leave. He is building a project with Brighton.
Di Matteo seems to be the no 1 choice

Knowing our luck they'll get Poyet and he'll play himself in the derby and score with his erect cock.

I hope Poyet replaces Tabarez for Uruguay. Would hate to see him with Sunderland. Most importantly though, I'm hoping he can get Brighton promoted.
