Has AC Milan (Not Real Madrid) been the Hardest Test for Barca?
That's what Adriano Galliani believes. He reckons that Milan arent far behind Barca and their encouters with Barca (not the Classicos) have been the hardest test on the Catalonian Team.

Getafe has something to say about that.

Not even close.
No offense but Milan didnt run us close. The scorelines are very misleading.
The team that has played us best under Pep is Valencia. We always struggle against them and in one game they even controlled the midfield against us, averaging more possession in a half.
Under Pep,Valencia have played us the best by far.

No it hasn't. They were incredibly lucky (or persistent) the first time around, to get that late equalizer, but were completely owned.
That 3-2 was even worse. A 5-2 in favor of the Blaugrana wouldn't have been too much at all.
Of course, their individual players have managed to score more than Real Madrid's have, but then again Real Madrid have only played Barcelona once so far this season .
Sevilla were also pretty tough against Barça. At least tough to break down.

Getafe was the best. They invited Barca to attack them and Barca came out empty handed. What's even better is that the philosopher scrapped his tiki-taka nonsense towards the end of the game and told them to start crossing the ball to Pique, who had taken the role of CF. Not to mention that Sarabia, a Madrid youth product, trolled Maxwell all match and assisted Getafe's winning gol.

i liked Bilbaos tactics better, cross it to the other wing, when all the barca players swarm you on your wing and counter the shite outta them...but that facepalm defender at the end WTF

r.
Yes, Barcelona get a false penalty and a own goal by Von Bommel in second game. Should be 2-1 Milan winning.

Bilbao, Violencia, Burger King..List goes on. Seeing as this thread is about Ac Milan then, scoreline was pretty much equal to barcelona, but going for team performances and tactics not even close.

really? because i thought milan dominated barca the first game. Just because you're not attacking and have pssession doesnt mean you arent putting in a good performance and giving the opposition a haard time. Nesta was completely destroying barca and milan were defensively sound for the most part and great on the counter.

Re: Has AC Milan (Not Real Madrid) been the Hardest Test for Barca?
Historically, Barca have always struggled against Chelsea.
Apart from the Ovrebo scandal in a game which we should have won comfortably they've never beaten us in a game in which one of our players wasn't sent off.
Still remember Zola's FK against Rivaldo's Barca . Memories...
If not Chelsea then Valencia or Jose's Inter.

Blibao and Valencia usually bring the heat when it comes time to play Barca. Styles don't match, or maybe they have us figured out but we deff struggle with them allot more than Real Madrid (not saying R. Madrid don't also give us a fight)

Re: Has AC Milan (Not Real Madrid) been the Hardest Test for Barca?
Getafe was definitely a one off result. We've only lost to Madrid once in the past 3 years(including one year having an unreal amount of clasicos). Valencia has consistently played well versus us so I'm inclined to say them.
On topic though. Milan played pretty well and were strong defensively. Madrid on the other hand claim they could have scored more, but we could have ALSO scored more as well(at least 2 more). So I would tend to agree with Galliani here

getafe beat barca for the first time since 2007 and people are seriously saying they have been the "hardest test"
Anyway this season bilbao was barcas most difficult fixture imo, Valencia were a bit lucky not to have conceded a penalty or two but that's a different story. Also pep got his tactics very wrong in the first half vs Valencia.
