It's over. C.A. choked.

Show thier full strength against America. Play like second division team in Libertadores.

Pathetic.

Copa Libertadores Quarters:

S1: Flu/Int x Boca Juniors
S2: Corinthians x Vasco
S3: Santos/Bolivar x Velez
S4: La U/LDU x Libertad

A Brazilian team is already guaranteed in the finals.. if all things go according to plan it will look something like this...

Flu/Inter vs LDU
Corinthians vs Santos

God.. I can only imagine if we lose to Santos in the Semis.. I think I would contemplate suicide.

Don't worry, Velez won't let that happen Wink

Shame Lanus lost today, penalties are a bitch.

I'm hoping for a la U comeback tomorrow, unlikely as it may be.

Exactly. Velez couldn't beat a quite mediocre Peñarol last year because they had a good defense system. Santos this year have that, plus an awesome attacking power. After one year under Muricy Ramalho, we are way better than we were last year. I am not saying it's going to be easy though. It's possibly going to be our most difficult match yet. But first we have to beat Bolivar ffs. it's tonight!!!!

P.S. congratulations to Corinthians and Vasco. I wish I could've watched these matches. Let us follow Spain's example on the EL and make this an All-Brazilian Copa Libertadores Final. Corinthians, prepare thee for the semi-final :coffee: !.

and i suppose we have the second leg at home? because we finished the group stage with more points than they (velez) did.... dont remember how it works.
that wouldnicely increase our chances of going through to the semi-finals.
