While we're at it, let me say this: I've just watched one of Santos' most boring matches of the last couple of years. MY GOD. The team was completely uninterested in attacking. I think our defenders saw most of the ball. And The Strongest were just waiting for a counter-attacking opportunity, which never came, so nothing happened. We did hit the post and came close to scoring a couple of times, but that was that. Everyone was expecting Santos to thrash the Bolivians, but I think Muricy told them to take it easy because of the Paulistinha quarter-finals on the weekend.
In the end, Santos 2 - 0 The Strongest, thanks to supersub Alan Kardec and, of course, Neymar. I'm afraid we're going to be playing against Bolivar or something? Nooooo not La Paz again.. If I'm not mistaken, we finish the group stages with the 3rd best campaign, behind Fluminense and Corinthians: total Brazilian sovereignty.
really? i thought it was awful . neymar tried, and that was all. we missed some good chances, but really we only playing sideways and backwards most of the time, it was terrible. u ready to get raped by Flu?

I am talking about Bolivar....
this happens every year,argentinians/brazilians go to north south america and get fecked up by the altitude(less oxygen),then in home games they easily win against teams like this one

Its like Flamengo and Real Potosi..
lost in Bolivia, dominated them in Rio. Santos need to rest some players though.

Santos's lack of legs vs. Sao Paulo's quality depth and XI on paper.

santos 2x0 so far
anyway, just for the record, i want to say that i am very satisfied with the result of the first leg against bolivar. neymar and ganso had to use that oxygen thingy at half time, and the players were totally beat. 1-2 is a great result, i am totally sure that we will overturn it and go on to the quarter-finals
i do hope that they are rested well before the second leg.

Corinthians has no choice but to bunker now... Jorge Henrique is an idiot.
if we leave Guayaquil 0-0 or down 1-0.. I can sleep easy tonight.
George Capwell looks like a lost cause right now

Re: The Official Copa Libertadores thread
Velez Sarsfield won btw.. they play the winner of Santos and Bolivar.
Bolivar lead the aggregate scoreline 2-1 after beating Santos in La Paz.
Fully expect Santos to golear the Bolivians.
