This. How can someone with the size of his calfs even call himself a professional footballer with a straight face?
Anyways, could anyone tell me how Villa is being considered a flop but Pedro is not? There is no argument for the first, but a lot for the second.
Pastore.
Alvarez (although imho he was overhyped).

Re: Flops of the season so far?
Considering we acquired Rafinha for £5million, I will say CONETRAO IS A BIG FLOP, the biggest of them all is Hamit...
Re: Flops of the season so far?
Hamit had no expectations though.

He came as a backup for free lol, and hes doing much better than some other playersIdrisozet wrote:Considering we acquired Rafinha for £5million, I will say CONETRAO IS A BIG FLOP, the biggest of them all is Hamit...
But srsly if your going to call someone a flop, atleast type theyre name correctly, another example of not watching him play.

Dye his hair black and give him a fuller set of cheeks and he would be Fabianski's twin. Great shot stopper, but not very commanding between the sticks, possesses average distribution and is prone to silly mistakes. But of course, since he player for your lot and cost an arm and a leg, it doesn't count
Not very commanding between the sticks? Yeah you try to communicate with your defenders when you can't speak English.
Average distribution? You really are clueless on him. He has the best distribution in the league. 95% of his kicks reach their intended target. Dunno what games you're watching, so that point you made proves you're making it up.
Prone to silly mistakes? He joined a big foreign club and moved to a country in which he doesn't speak a word of the language at the age of 20, to replace a veteran like VDS. Can you imagine the expectations? Of course he is gonna make the odd mistake....but...let me tell you this, since the game v WBA back in August, how many mistakes has he made? There's only 2 that I can think of 1.) v Benfica at home 2) v Basel away.
So that's 2 mistakes since August! cut the crap, buddy. You are so desperate to label him as a flop, yet you don't take into consideration I made about him in my 3rd point.
Go see how he single handedly kept us from losing away at Anfield. Here is this kid, pulling off wonder saves in front of the Kop at our most fiercest rivals ground.
Go see how he coped well v Stoke away. A game everyone thought he would bottle against their giant players. Yet he came through that game with flying colours.
One last question, were you as this critical of Sznesy when he was having a bad time? Were you, as you put it to me "Since he plays for your lot, it doesn't count" critical of him too?
He is improving with every game, and by next season, once he gets more accustomed to BPL, he will be one of the best keepers in the world and the future no.1 for Spain.

Re: Flops of the season so far?
Carroll. He'll get good but not enough games atm and well... hefty fee.
Torres. No idea what's wrong with him. Low on confidence? Past his peak? legs look passed it.
Downing. Expected him to be our best signing in the summer. Hasn't had an assist or a goal yet. Highly unlucky, but you expect more when you pay 20m on a guy in his prime.
Nasri.
N'Zogbia. Expecting him to kill us tonight now, but he's been horrible since joining Villa.
Lukaku. Not really his fault, still way too young, doesn't really get any games but came at a hefty price. Similar to Carroll.
Clichy.

Wtf am I reading? Alvarez? One of inters best so far.... try milito arguably pazzini, Torres, Zapata, montolivo... not nasri who has done very well assisting this year as has aquilani.

take criticism like aman would yeah
even on redcafe, mancs agree de gea has kinda been average than expected, not saying he is a flop
but for someone who is one of the best in Spain, you'd expect he did better
and Arsenal fans were never critical of szcesny, he has been here since U-18 level and we knew what he could do

thanks to mancini playing him and out of position,
sometimes I wonder if it would just hurt mancini to ask wenger for games of nasri last season
