It means a lot actually.

We have a lot of bargaining power, because Hulk will only accept a move to Chelsea which will lead Porto to lower their asking price.

If there were other teams involved like Madrid, Barca, etc and Hulk accept their move that will lead to higher price. Less competition result in lower price.

Porto could keep Hulk for another year, but it is a fair assumption to make that he would be worth less in one year time. At that time Hulk could force their hand and force a move.


Anyway i believe we will get Hulk just have to be patient.

If Chelsea are offering 30m and another club is offering significantly more than that, the fact that he wants to come to us means nothing. Porto couldn't care less where he wants to go, and they're certainly not gonna accept the considerably lower of the offers just to give him what he wants.

If Porto won't budge (which looks likely) and the 2 clubs can't agree a price, he can desire to join us all he wants, it's not gonna change anything.

If we significantly low bid, they are not going to sell. Porto does care what the player wants, he has a great relationship with the fans and the President has gone great length in his admiration for Hulk. Hulk is arguably their most iconic player they ever had.

Even if they didn't care, they can't force a player to move to a club. All parties have to agree.

Last summer Man City offered the most wages to Alexis Sanchez and the higher transfer fee to Udinese. The player wanted Barca only, so the club had to take the lower fee.

Porto are going to hold out for the most money like they should, but that doesn't mean that they are not budging. It is a process, i am confident he will be a Chelsea player in the upcoming weeks.

But then again, Porto are on another planet of greed compared to Udinese.

Maybe we can do a 2 for 1 and get Moutinho aswell?

I don't get it, Arsenal get class players like Giroud and Podolski for next to nothing, United get Kagawa for a steal. I guess because we have the money they demand more but really gets annoying when the player wants to leave.

There are reports floating around that Napoli want Meireles. He has said he is only thinking about Euro's at the moment.

I don't know whether I want him to leave or not. If he improves his passing he could be a very useful player for us.

Napoli have a strict wage structure..Currently i think Hamsik is their highest earner at 2.5m a season.

According to metro Piszczek is our top Target for RB followed by Debuchy, VDW, Rafael and Maicon. 15m is the budget and RDM wants a new RB by next week.
