Another season with the Spurs before he moves onto a bigger team (Liverpool? )
He's a great talent though.

I think he's done well at Spurs but it seems to me there's really no more progression for him left at Tottenham. I think he needs to move another step up to a team like Roma, Dortmund, Liverpool, Arsenal, Monaco etc and if he cut it there then the ultimate step up to one of the bigger guns.

Haven't really watched a lot of Tottenham last season but from what I read they're playing him out of position quite a lot. Don't know if true but if so maybe he should go for another club. I think the level of the club is fine however.

No, he's been played centrally and in an advanced role every time I've seen Tottenham, that's not a problem.
And McAgger, nothing keeps a player from 'taking the next step' at Tottenham, they are good enough to let individual players shine to their brightest potential. It's up to Eriksen to step it up at Tottenham before bigger clubs should come after him.

I see. I thought they played him quite often on the wing for some reason.
What really surprises me is that he only has 2 assists despite being top 10 in key passes/games and playing every game.
Could well be because of variance but maybe there's another reason.

People thinking he's on the wing or played out of position are just confusing the fluidity of the front four at Tottenham with him being out of position. Though he does often drift to the left wing (and under Sherwood he was played at LM, yes).
And McAgger, he's put in great performances but like I said, until he becomes more consistent and doesn't disappear from games as much, I don't really see a top club taking him on. This is why I don't think there has been major interest in him, and why he still has some progressing to do at Tottenham.
Definitely odd to think the boy is still just 23. Seems like he's been around quite a while now. Then again, I guess he did break out as an 18 year old or something.

Yeah he made his debut a month before he turned 18 or so and became a regular starter almost instantly. When he left us he was only 21 yet he had already played 162 matches for us.
He's already at 53 caps for Denmark aswell.

Are you serious? We're in the same bracket as Tottenham with Sir Brendan in charge. Spurs are our direct rivals. Keep looking at top 4 if you want to be optimistic, but at the end of the day the reality of it all is that we're competing with Spurs.
The gap between us and the top 4 sides last year is far too high going in this season with Rodgers in charge. FSG *bleep* up.

Re: Future Best Danish AM at Spurs.... Christian Eriksen Thread
A little bit of a slow start at the beginning of the season but he's exploded. Lamela has been the EPL's most improved player, Dele Alli was young player of the year, and Harry Kane is the best striker in the league right now so not everyone is talking about Eriksen but we can't ignore his contributions. He's been as good if not better than Lamela and Dele Alli both this season and not far behind Kane.
Brilliant AM who is finally starting to produce the performances we wanted from him on a consistent basis.
Will he move up to a better team eventually? How does he compare to other players/AM's in the EPL and elsewhere?
What I do have to say is that he's a joy to watch. Love the guy

Re: Future Best Danish AM at Spurs.... Christian Eriksen Thread
I'm pretty sure he will move on eventually, question is when not if imo.. he has a contract till 2018 I think? So it wouldn't surprise me to see him leave this summer. I have no idea how many of your core might want to leave though, I doubt your club would sell more than 1-2 (depending on the contracts obviously) of them.
I still don't watch too much of spurs though I've seen a few games and really liked what I saw. He's basically doing the same he did for us, just a bit better. I don't think there are many better AM though people will probably put a decent amount of plebs in front of him for no reason.
I'm really not sure where he could go though. I always thought he should go to Spain

Still only 25. If Coutinho's worth 150m+ Eriksen is worth 250m.

As soon as he struck that freekick, I knew you would have come here. He is gonna have to live with being the 2nd best AM in the world though. No shame in that.
