Casillas over Neuer for the last season? Did they ever get to watch the Schalke matches against Dortmund, Bayern and ManUtd first leg?

sometimes, it just feels like it's a random shortlist of the biggest names or most over-hyped players in football

IMO they should have included both. Neuer had an amazing season though.
Anyway, this list is crap. I could draw up a better one in two minutes flat.

His mistakes are never brough into the light by barcas success not to say he had nothing to do last year and when a decent team moved the ball up like arsenal he made absolute blunders like RVP goal...lol his positioning for that goal
Its not a coincidence before guardiola valdes was worst goalkeeper ever then after they started dominating possession like never before he became best evaaaa
Wasn't it Abbiati , that had the Highest save % as well as the most clean sheets? Don't see his name there now do i ? I don't see the one of the two very best defenders in the world last season hmmm... performances don't matter its a popularity contest, they probably would've added Dinho had he played for any recognisable team..

Re: Fifa Ballon d'Or 2011 shortlists
if you could unite Suarez and Cavani performances I'd say a uruguayan candidate would havea good chance...but Cavani didn't impact the Copa America and Suarez didn't *score enough goals* (although he was part of the Liverpool rise) to be noticed.
Rooney, don't make me laugh.
No Real Madrid players from last year deserve a spot (not hating), though we will see what happens this year
Neymar would be a good candidate but since its brasil league its not gonna happen
If its gonna be a barca player its gonna be Messi lets face it
1. Messi
2. CR or Suarez
3. Neymar
how it should be

Re: Fifa Ballon d'Or 2011 shortlists
Milan win the league and there are no players from Milan on the list.
What is really sad is that someone probably got paid lots of money to write down that pitiful collection of names (I'll let you speculate as to who paid them).

Then they should have put up both Casillas and Neuer, but omitting SuperManu is justMamad wrote:rwo power wrote:Casillas over Neuer for the last season? Did they ever get to watch the Schalke matches against Dortmund, Bayern and ManUtd first leg?

Why do they even bother with a long list lol. Messi or Ronaldo will win it no matter what happens.
No RVP.

Yep, Abbiati and Valdes were the top based on GAA and save %.Rossoneri Ninja wrote:jiopsi wrote:Valdes save % was second best last year.Adit wrote:lol @ clown valdes fanboys.

Abbiati 0.853% 0.54GAA
Valdes 0.826% 0.50GAA
Casillas being there is just lollerson rolling on the floor.

Re: Fifa Ballon d'Or 2011 shortlists
This award is proving itself to be a farce once again. Fabregas? FFS the man even said on twitter he shouldn't be on it because he played 16 games. The award is joke. Arsene being there and Mou not being there is another joke. The man has done nothing for 6 years.

Re: Fifa Ballon d'Or 2011 shortlists
Except that every single knowledgeable football person out there considers Neuer and Casillas as the best goalkeepers in the world... but keep on. I love listening to Barca fans sounds stupid.
Stats, at most, tell about 80% of the story in football. Then you have key saves, box presence, chemistry with defenders, etc.

Casillas in EM-Qualification 0.71 GAA with (Spain) Barcelona, Valdes in basicly same setup 0.50 GAA.Magricos wrote: Some people seem to think only club performances matter.

No real football fan would take this jokes award seriously tbh. Fabregas? Benzema? No Valdes? No VDS? Cassilas? No vidic but Nani and Rooney? David Villa? Aguero? No Gomez? Once again this award has proven it is nothing but a popularity contest. BURN IN HELL FIFA

I would like u to watch Champions League Final 2006!
" Valdes was the reason behind Henry endingup playing for Barca"
Watch & Learn:
did u count how many saves Valdes did vs Henry/Arsenal... yes, its true.. Valdes was the reason why Barca won Champions League FINAL "2006"!!

Re: Fifa Ballon d'Or 2011 shortlists
For the life of me I juz can't get over it that Nani, Benzema, and even, Eto'o and D. Villa is on that list and Robin van Persie is not.
Are FIFA fecking blind or what? The guy has scored 28 goals in 27 league matches this year! Third highest behind Ronaldo and Messi, I think! The guy is absolute class, but they say he ain't at least the 23rd best player so far this year??
Feck Off, FIFA, you are an utter disgrace!
