RVP isnt a undisputed candidate as you guys are saying imo it is understandable why he isnt listed..... Forlan ,Sneijder,Abidal and worst of all,Cesc :facepalm:

He isn't a direct candidate but he should've been listed.

Benzema is 4th behind Van Persie in goals scored this year... so he's not really the issue. He has 25 goals (26 if you count the supercup) with Madrid in 2011. He has several more for France NT. + he makes a lot of assists. For someone who has to fight for every minute at Madrid, that's pretty amazing.

But this award is all political. It's more a representation of the teams that are sexy right now as opposed to the performances of individual players.
