inFamous Series
Never quite understood why Prototype and Assassin's Creed got all the plaudits for being sandbox titles and the parkour type movement when inFamous has a better and nearly identical movement system itself, respectively. Further, the combat mechanics are great and the writing is frankly brilliant at times. The latest addition, Festival of Blood is a great bit of DLC that add a new mini-story and great powers without actually changing the game play. Further, it can be downloaded without even owning the inFamous 2 game. I'd definitely recommend it (and the two full games), for anyone with a PS3.

Re: inFamous Series
I liked this first inFamous more than inFamous 2. It is definitely better than Prototype which got boring really fast but I rate Assassin's Creed higher than inFamous. The Assassin's Creed has a fantastic storyline, setting and gameplay. Not taking anything away from inFamous, it's Karma system is probably the best after Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Origins.

Re: inFamous Series
Guess there wasn't enough media love-in for people to actually play the game... disappointing.

Re: inFamous Series
So the dlc is like 10 bucks and you don't need the full game?

Re: inFamous Series
Well Infamous (inFamous? dunno, duncare) is only one the PS3 so I don't know if that plays a role. As a guy who has an Xbox, i've always wanted this series (as well as Uncharted) to get onto the Xbox eventually.
But Assassins Creed has to be the best sandbox/parkour style game. Gameplay, graphics, the environment and texture just keep getting better and better

The inFamous movement system is actually similar to Assassins Creed's, except you don't need to hold an extra button while climbing (assuming that's still in the game).BiasedMilanFan3 wrote:Well Infamous (inFamous? dunno, duncare) is only one the PS3 so I don't know if that plays a role. inFamous 2 is better than inFamous 1, in my humble opinion. If you haven't played it yet I suggest fixing that glaring mistake soonish. And preferably play both the good and evil sides, the endings are worth it.

Yep...I will def check it out. Playing as a baddie or a goodie is what makes this game so great.

Re: inFamous Series
I downloaded the first game with the "welcome back package" the PS3 users got after the hacking incident.. Never tried it though, maybe I will give it a go soon
About Assassins Creed, I played the second game and liked it but after I found out the third one would still be set in Italy around the same time I didn't care to play it.. I was hoping they would jump to a future time line like they did before

Brotherhood isn't Assassins Creed 3.
Brotherhood is essentially part 2 of Assassins Creed 2
And the developers have said they will not set it in the future (aside from the Desmond missions). They said they will always keep the game in previous years of history

Oh, I didn't know that about Brotherhood.. But I didn't mean future as in out present or ahead of us, just a different setting than the one in AC II

Assassin's Creed III which will be released in 2012 is confirmed to take place in a new timeline with different character (most likely French Revolution) Brotherhood and Revelations are not Assassin's Creed II or IV, they are expansions. Revelations is gonna be awesome, Altair returns FTW
And also hookblade assassinations

Re: inFamous Series
Ah, yea.
I am two trophies away from that on #1, and about 5 away on #2.
I just need to find 2 more shards and complete one more stunt for platinum on #1.

Re: inFamous Series
Replayed inFamous 1 already and currently replaying inFamous 2. Man I love these games.
Hell, most modern day movies could learn a thing or two about the hero's journey and plot twists from the story... though that could potentially be said for a lot of video games.

Side note: RG and McLewis are scared to play the second one because the first was too awesome for them. They should be mocked mercilessly for this.

Hey now,
I haven't even finished the first one yet lol. Can I at least be mocked after that?
