Re: Still not scandal in La Liga? part deux
The greatest club team in history shouldn't have to try and con penalties when things aren't going there way
Why so sour Jiopsi? You're never "gracious in defeat".. Well thats how the saying goes even though it was a draw.
Sometimes people will respect you more as the bigger man if you just congratulate them on a great defensive performance and move on.
Take a page out of your own team's book, as even though some sh!t went down at the end, after the final whistle the Barca players were truly humble and respectful, with hugs all round.

You still don't get it do you? You want me congratulate people after making 5-10 refcelona threads/ bashing on left and right, after we were given 1/3 penalties and drew? Please, back to the reality again.Giovanni10 wrote:The greatest club team in history shouldn't have to try and con penalties when things aren't going there way

Ok fine whatever makes you happy, all three of them were penalties and i'm sorry you didn't get your calls, lol
Fact of the matter, you did get one, Messi failed to convert, it would have won you the game. A win is a win even if its a 1-0 and Messi screwed that up.. Maybe he should shoulder some blame?
I can see your point, yeah some people came on here and made butthurt jokes, but you don't help your reputation by trying to play the victim, you end up looking the most butthurt.
Couple of calls I disagree with when Real Madrid lose.. I don't make a big scene, c'est la vie.
MOVE ON!
Re: Still not scandal in La Liga? part deux
Yes. Messi is ofcourse to blame for the missed penalty, but not solely on the draw. Wasn't really the point of this thread, at all, but you seem to understand some points of it which is good.Giovanni10 wrote:jiopsi wrote:You still don't get it do you? Re: Still not scandal in La Liga? part deux
I thought its apparent by now that only Stoke get non existent penalties.
CR and Di Maria dive(even outside the box),ref whistles for penalty.
So not really bothered.

Seriously???????
Have you been watching La Liga for the past few seasons?
Barca get so much favor from refs it's actually a joke...

This thread was just about to die, can we please let it for the time being, at least until we've calmed down and slept on the issue.

Re: Still not scandal in La Liga? part deux
And even worse. You're being sore losers.
Sevilla (the GK in particular) played an excellent game to shut out barca at the camp nou.
And instead of acknowledging this, you impune their achievements by blaming the ref!
You aren't true, objevtive football fans. You're 6-year-olds with the ability to write their whiny thoughts down on the internet.

You going to claim now that your team havent got questionable penalties(putting it mildly) this season or the last or the one before that?
Whats the figure like over the past 3 seasons?
24 something called for Stoke and 8 or so for Barca(not really sure but read it one of the threads).
Oh and thanks to the bitter Gooner(get over it son,Arsenal lost) enlightening me about the change in the penalty rule.
Apparently clear contact in a dangerous position is not a penalty.

Re: Still not scandal in La Liga? part deux
Sevilla played brilliantly.Fair play to them. They deserved the point.
Barca only have poor finishing and the missed penalty to blame.
I was just pointing out to the Barca fan who made the thread that it isnt something to fret over.
Sometimes decisions go our way, sometimes against.
Barca are not Stoke that all decisions go their way.

Re: Still not scandal in La Liga? part deux
In the Barcelona section, many posters have credited the excellent performance of the goalkeeper, not merely in saving the penalty but also throughout the match. This isn't a question about Sevilla but the referees. I don't believe in any sort of conspiracy theory, however we should be clear about what is being discussed here, there's no need to hit out at Barcelona posters in general.

The first one is a 100% dive, the second the sevilla guy hits the ball so no penal and the third was a penal and was given. STOP COMPLAINING.

Actually that's real madrid, but the thing is that the barca player nor coach bitch about it, like real madrids player and especially their manager does. So people are udner the illusion that real madrid gets no favoured decision..

Where this misconception that our penalties have been dubious comes from I will never know.
The in Jiopsi words "stonewall" penalty claims against levante cost us 3 points.
The "stonewall" penalty claims against Racing cost us 2 points.
It's sad that Jiopsi posting a bullshit thread here has brainwashed eveyone into believing that referees are just giving away penalties to us......what doest that count for when they deny us penalties when we actuyally need them.
But us getting a fully deserved penalty while 3-0 up is the scandal of the century..................................
Jiopsi is now IMO second only to Huntsman and is reminiscent of a early Huntsman.

Re: Still not scandal in La Liga? part deux
The only legitimate foul was the last one which was also given to Iniesta, but even that can be argued.
Iniesta first falls down when he gets a slight hit to the knee after the actual tackle (which would normally result in a penalty) and realizes that he won't get the ball before Javi Varas.

Oh btw, the referee of Sevilla vs Barcelona, Iturralde, is famous in Spain for being a pro barca.
That last minute penalty came to no surprise for many...

So that's why he gave yellow for Messi, when Carvalho elbowed him.St_Nick09_of_Goal wrote:Oh btw, the referee of Sevilla vs Barcelona, Iturralde, is famous in Spain for being a pro barca.

For the Iniesta "penalty" the linesman didn't raise his flag yet the ref seemed 100% certain that is was even though he was the worst placed official to make such a call.
Teams will have 50/50 calls go against them and for them. Please just stop this BS.
The linesmen is in an even worse position than the ref, on the Iniesta "penalty". Unless you're talking about the second one- which the linesmen *might* have a better view on. The second one wasn't a penalty anyway though.
I love your line in the bold. It is so right. however this is exactly the thing that slightly annoys me about every other fan. They don't think this way when it comes to Barca XD
But I actually love it, haters gonna hate!
Good game though. Entertaining 0-0 draw to be honest. Don't worry Madrid, we'll get you...
