Names like Jones, Henderson and Wickham weren't what we were expecting (and maybe none of those actually sign for us), but whatever players we eventually sign, I'll trust in Kenny & Comolli & co. that they'll do good job - even if we get some players we might not fancy right now.

When I say Valencia are on a surer financial footing I mean in comparison to last summer. After the sales of Villa and Silva I think they have covered enough of their debts to avoid facing another such clearout this summer.

Also, weren't we heavily linked with Wickham and Jones before the summer? :p

If we were to get the English players we are supposedly on the verge of signing and Mata with them, I would be ecstatic, over the moon.

I might be wrong as I haven't exactly seen all the sunderland games, but every time I have seen him he has not impressed me so much in anyway.

I understand he still may be raw and under the tutelage of Kenny, Clarke and the Liverpool way, he may blossom. But is he really worth the 15 we are paying for him? I feel it could have been invested into a proven player who has time on his side.

Anyone here want to convince me otherwise? I hope I am wrong.

i was thinking like you at 1st,
but now, little by little, im more & more happy with the deal (if its the 13mil+Ngog).

keep in mind that this is the 1st transfer of many, and that we have money.

so we will be strengtening all the others areas, but for now we are begining by strenghtening our midfield with an already capped 20yrs old, english mid, who can prove that the money invest was worth it for the next 5-10 years to come

Based on what I've been reading, I'd be happy to add Henderson as a squad player, who will both help us now and for the future... Questions on the price aren't as important to me - while NESV for sure aren't oil baron billionaires that can just dump money into the team, one thing I do have confidence in them on is the business model. Not every player they sign will be a success, but regardless of the team itself, they will make Liverpool VERY profitable... the money will be there.

Well dats dat for Henderson now i guess we can look into & move onto Jones & Wickham. .well the possible departure of Ngog would seriously push the chase for another striker . .currently it seems Wickham is top in the wishlist . .plus personally i found Jones much more impressive then Dunn . .anyhow nothing strong has been linked with any one of them . .

plus what happened to the Enrique deal? things seemed to have died away or become negative suggesting he would go to other clubs! also rumors linking us with Aly Cissokho. .

on another point it seems some rumors suggesting that he would be signed within next week . . but now ain't the continental transfer window closed till July 1st??? but then again i would be more then happy if it came through
