The world goes Shopping in Jan.

What should/will/won't happen for us in Jan? Who will we buy?

Personally, I would reignite the De Byrune Saga, tranfer list Essien and look for another young winger, Munian of athletic bilbao is who I got on fifa.

How about you guys?

Oh yes it is. Unless we're approaching summer. Reason being the season has only started and we usually go downhill during Christmas, which is when we will really know our weaknesses. Plus we have players who might or might not improve during the season, which has to be taken into account. Any assumptions on the squad now is too early.

But appreciate your efforts of trying to get the section active banana

If we can't offer McEachran more first team football I'd much prefer to see him loaned out to Bolton or some other team where he can be given starting privileges.

How about you humour me in a bid to help the section then? Smile

I am 100% against Josh going on loan as I want him to be a one club man. However, if it assures him first team action next season I would be ok with it.

While I think it would be great I just don't think he'll break into the first team when he's not even getting on the teamsheet. A CL or cup game every now and again is nice but nothing like playing in PL week in week out.

Look at Cleverly, Sturridge, Welbeck, Wilshere. All now big players for their clubs.

He should play with Ramires out. I hope he plays against genk too.

The other thing is he is two years younger than the rest you mentioned so he has time on them.

OK Sad

I would sent McEachran and Romeu on loan and buy De Bruyne (since all of our other wingers bar Mata and Sturridge are old) IF Kakuta still hasn't proven himself.

That's about it I guess. I'm sure the club would block moves involving any players going away from the club in January.

I thought you'd say Lucas Piazon is on his way

As for the transfer window..

I think Anelka would leave

Kalou & Bosingwa gets an extension

McEachran would definitely go out on loan and we may recall Kakuta

Essien would make his return and AVB will call it a new signing

I doubt we'd buy another major player but we'll be linked to Modric all January though.

will that dumb PL rule let us loan lukaku or not? cause if so id loan him, with drogba torres and anelka weve got CF cover
in terms of purchaces De Byrne would be a good one because im sure malouda, anelka and kalou wont be a part of next seasons squad so better to get him as early as possible, the dream signing of course will be hazzard but pigs will fly befoe that happens
anyone know what the situation with piazon is?

Lukaku can't go on loan.

As for lucas, he has been training with us for a while and can play for us after the 20th of jan I believe.

It's pretty clear now, we need an RB.

My first choice would be Kyle Walker but he is unlikely, we need someone who can defend because Bosingwa is horrible at defending.

Kalou + Alex for Modric + Walker Twisted Evil

Nah but realistically I wouldn't have a clue who is good out there in terms of RBs, it seems getting a solid FB who can defend and attack well is rare these days.

Players who i'd be interested in(but may be totally unrealistic):
- VDW, as long as he's not overpriced I think he could be class
- Inkoom, obviously not somebody you'd buy to replace Bos but would be good to develop him
- Walker. Obvious.
- Richards, no way we'd get him but would be amazing
- Maybe one of the guys in the French league? Reveillere or Fanni.

Anybody know if the Porto RB was decent? Maybe AVB could bring him over.

Also if we are playing a high line we need a CB with pace otherwise we will just get caught out. Terry + Ivan isn't a great combo for the high line.

Nah, porto RB isn't that good.

To be honest, what I want is a young RB who is sound defencively, that we can improve their attacking.

The only RB that i like a lot that is available is Mauricio Isla, he is a very complete
RB.
