Looks like it was the right choice, even though the way Mike Ashley treated their previous manager like shet with the way he sacked him.
N'castle are killing it right now, but let's all remember Bolton last season, they were up there in 4th place at this period of the season. Credit to N'castle though for being the only unbeaten team along with Utd and City.
We have a much bigger squad and have much more quality than Bolton could even dream of and they wasnt unbeaten for the first 8 games.....
We still have Marveaux, Ben Arfa and Santon to come back to full fitness and form, so the performances will most likely get better even though the results probably want seeing as this is our next 6 games......
H WIGAN
A STOKE
H EVERTON
A CITY
A UTD
H CHELSEA
I am going for 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses and i think its realistic aswell.....
I think 2 losses to City and United, a draw v Stoke away( tough game for anyone) 2 wins v Wigan and Everton and a draw v Chelsea. Is that what you think too?
Exactly what i think, i think a win against stoke is possible but a draw is definitely more likely.....
You know, I would have had you guys as a win v Stoke if you were playing them at home. At their ground, they are just so tough and their fans make the stadium seem so intimidating. i hope u lot beat them though.

Re: The New Invincibles?
I think Mike Ashley is the most underrated and unappreciated club owner in England, even when he turned Newcastle round and made them competitive after relegation and promotion, the fans still show no appreciation.
He should be a fans dream owner, he used to sit among the regular fans and drink beer with the fans and though his sacking of Chris Hughton was met with a lot of controversy, his decision has proved right in the long run. I personally feel Hughton wasn't cut for the big league yet.
I don't think Newcastle will finish in the top 6, but I tip them to finish 7th and possibly qualify for the Europa league.

Most of the fans dont like him because he promised the Carroll money would be invested back into the club and he didnt invest a penny of it in the summer.......
Also he is taking down the Newcastle United sign on the stadium and replace it with his company logo just for more money........
There's many other reasons aswell, iam grateful to him for making us financially in a very good position but thats about it.......
As for the TOP 6 thing that depends alot on Arsenal and how they do between now and the end of the season because i honestly believe we are the best side outside the top 6( i include Arsenal in this and if they dont improve then i would think 6th is very feasible).......
But in the end i will agree with you i think we will get 7th and hopefully good cup runs in the League and FA Cup...... which funnily enough is what i predicted at the beginning of the season.....

Re: The New Invincibles?
Newcastle still unbeaten in the BPL TBH if my team is unbeaten I prefer two draws than a win and loss. That 0 in loss in tables looks so *bleep**ng beautiful.
BTW, unbeaten teams in Top 6 leagues in Europe this season in League only: (England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal)
Barcelona, Levante, Sevilla, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Juventus, Udinese, Porto, Benfica
Unbeaten teams in Top 6 leagues in Europe this season counting all competitions:
Barcelona, Levante, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Juventus, Benfica
Who will have this beautiful 0 in losses for the longest period of time?

We will remain unbeaten until January. Then Ashley will sell all of the players.

Porto is leading 2-0 at HT so I am assuming they won't lose.

Re: The New Invincibles?
NO Barca - Fail! (Barca unbeaten in all competitions - 24 consecutive matches)
- Man City Official facebook page:
Along with Newcastle United, Glasgow Rangers, Juventus, Benfica, Porto Panathinaikos BC, Olympiakos, and Atromitos F.C., City are one of only ten unbeaten top division teams in Europe this season http://manc.it/w3lQ3Y With 28 games to play it'll be a hard task but do you think the Blues could stay unbeaten all season?..

Juventus only play in the league, Italian Cup didn't start yet, Benfica and Barca played in their National Cups, Benfica will also have League Cup to play (Taça da Liga). Benfica drew yesterday to Man Utd, Barca tonight have tough game vs Milan at San Siro. Let's see if after tonight match Barca will be undefeated in all competitions just like Benfica.
