A question towards Real Madrid fans
What position does Oezil play? I see him all over the field. Is he trequartista? If yes, why does he collect the ball so deep ( watched Germany yesterday) ? Is he a midfielder? He doesn't look like one.
I posed the question in general section but no one answered.

Re: A question towards Real Madrid fans
He is usually an AM/play maker for us. Plays a bit deeper for Germany because their CM's make forward runs into the box.
He can play deep or near the goal. Very tactically smart player. He'll play where ever a coach tells him to.

He usually plays high up at AM, however recently he has been dropping deep. AM is kinda like a free role too. Hopefully he can become solid in the CM position.

AM for Real Madrid closer to being a midfielder for Germany although he still is more attack minded.
He's not out of position he is actually always in the right position if you follow the play and movement of players.
