Wenger has played down talk of an Emirates Stadium return for Henry.

“I have not thought about that at all,” said the Frenchman. “At the moment we have a big squad and anyway, that problem cannot be examined before the end of December.

“We have 26 outfield players so we have a massive squad.”

Does anyone rate Agbonlahor in here? He would do quite well for us I think (cant be worse than Chamakh). He is young,Strong, English, Pacey, connects well with mf, can play on the wings, technical (has the makings of an Arsenal forward). Surely he can have an Ashley Young like impact for any "big" club he is going to move to.

he'd be a GREAT backup for RvP, but we do have other options at the main ST position but he's versatile too. if we had to pay over 20 million he wouldnt be worth it though

Good call on Ronaldolahor, he'd be an great addition. He wont be cheap though.

Yes, I do rate Agblonlahor and he'd make a good addition to the squad. He's a typical sort of English forward, just incredibly fast go with his strength and work rate. And although he doesn't prefer it, he can operate on the flanks, too.

Price would be an issue, as English players generally tend to go for a lot. I mean, Downing fetched £20mil, so I'm sure Villa would look to get around the same for Gabriel.

If you gave me the choice between Gabriel for near £20mil and, say, Abdellaoue for £10-15mil, then I'd definitely go for Abdellaoue.

He's decent, but does he have the technical skills to be able to play as a lone striker? I know he's a good dribbler and all, but I mean actual mental attributes and of course that killer finishing touch and creative brain we need in our forwards.

He'd be great, but I'm not paying 20m for him.

He is quite sound in technique. At least going by his finishes and free kicks. Pricing would be a factor, but surely we can work around that. Player swap + cash maybe? He has 3-4 years left on his contract, so for the price to go down he would have to hand in a transfer request. After doing bit of a google search on him, I've come to find out that Spuds are in for his as well (shux).

But even if we sign him somehow, Wenger wouldn't play him as a striker that's certain. If we are after a winger than I hope it's Reus.

Meh, it's one of those rumours. Like the ones saying Barcelona were negotiating with Arsenal for Fabregas at half-time in their Champions League match. It just seem awfully convenient, doesn't it?

I'm sure you can imagine how that conversation would go.

Honestly, this whole Götze business just seems so un-Arsenal like.

Mixture of Suarez and Chicharito, imo. Don't think this will begin growing, as you've gotten PCY. But He'd be a nice replacement for Chamakh or Ashavin if you offload them..

I wouldn't compare him to Chicharito in no shape or form. Chichadorito is a striker who doesn't dribble much.

Vargas is much more like Suarez, Nasri. I just saw him have a great game last night in the Copa Sudamericana but you'll have competition for his services as there is a host of teams after him.

certainly with 13 assists he more involved in build up play than mexican bounce

Hey mate, this player is an absolute joy to watch, he has definitely a Chicharito movement - exactly what we need, those runs behind the defences. I hope we're seriously about him, and that those reports are true.
