Re: City vs United: Which one is more loaded in attack?
United's squad get so underrated on this forum because of SAF. The guy is a great coach and probably one of the best ever but he receives all the recognition that people tend to forget that we have GREAT players.
This United's mentality and chemistry crap is getting old. Chemistry? Really? Three players from last season retired plus three more were bought then add the fact that Welbeck and Cleverley are brought back. That's eight changes from last season. How the fcuk do you build chemistry when the team haven't played 10 competitive games.
De Gea
Smalling Jones Evans Evra
Nani Cleverley Anderson Young
Welbeck Rooney
Five of those weren't even playing for Utd last season. Anderson, Smalling, and Evans were not even starters. So where the fcuk is this United's chemistry crap blah blah come from?

What is wrong with the United fans in this thread. IS it not enough that 90% of the posters voted for united over City??
Can you guys not read or something, why are you arguing against people agreeing with you. WOW, you lot are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

The chemistry talk is because Anderson-Cleverley would not start at any other top team. SAF makes players look better than they really are (kinda like Mou with Pandev, Milito, Motta), and that can be said about United midfield for past seasons (consider Nani, Young, CR as part of attack). Carrick, Park, Anderson, past-it Scholes, past-it Giggs, insanely overrated Fletch have all been part of championship squad. Individually apart Fletcher, none of those (remember Giggs and Scholes past it, latter retired) will not start in any other top team.

I just don't like the fact that people underestimate our players so much individually.
It's like as if Park would play for QPR and will be trash. The guy started the 2009 UCL final ffs.

Re: City vs United: Which one is more loaded in attack?
Well its difficult to compare some players... particularly players like Silva and Nasri to wingers like Nani.
Rooney is the best player of them all. So there's a big point to kick off on. He's simply the third best forwards around...
Aguero is a wonderful player, and definitely the second best striker of the lot.
Dzeko I think could potentially be excellent for City this year and is a good player, but Berbatov has proven his worth already while Dzeko's only beginning to start his career there.
Then I guess we compare Tevez and Hernandez? Well Tevez is a brilliant player, better than Hernandez, but Tevez screwed himself over at City and now is in an awkward situation. With the system Mancinini is playing he'll find it hard to play a huge role. Great player, but his head isn't in the right place now. On the other hand, Hernandez is a wonderful fit at United. He's young, keen and loving life. He'll continue to bang them in and is thus a much more useful player.
Then I guess that leaves Owen and Wellbeck and Balotelli. Balotelli has fantastic talent, but he'll never make it at this rate... The guy is just a straight up idiot. Owen is experienced, and content to be a role-player. He's good at it too, wonderful player to have in your squad. Wellbeck doesn't have quite the same amount of talent as Balo or say Sturridge, but he does have a lot of ability and could be a great striker for England. He's also not an idiot.... which helps.
On pure ability, they're quite even... but on their strength as a unit, the types of players they are and the headspace they're in, United.
I left out attacking mids... because that is way too complicated. United have some great wingers, while City only really have Milner and Johnson who play like that. On the other hand, United have no one like Silva or Nasri. Silva is the best player at City, and very important to the way the team attacks. He's a better player than Nani or Young, but they play different roles, and Ferguson exploits his wingers brilliantly.

Great explanation... and pretty much sums it up. All about the midfield in my opinion. The rest of United are great individually, I rate them very highly.
De Gea- we'll see
Raf/Fab- Great talents, future WC fbs.
Vidic-Ferd-Top 5 CB pairing.
Jones-Smalling-Brilliant, promising pair.
Evra-2nd best LB in EPL
Nani- Best winger in the EPL
Young- Top 5 winger in the EPL
Valencia- Top 5 winger in the EPL
Park- Top 5-10 winger in the EPL
Rooney- Best player in the EPL, just ahead of Silva.
Hernandez- Top 5 striker in the EPL
Berbatov- Top 5 striker in the EPL
etc.

Rooney < Kun
Nani < Nasri
Silva > Young
Dzeko < Berba
Tevez > Chicharito
Has to be Man City, if we're talking Attack.
